Cracker Barrel 420 was my 1st ever Nascar race. As a 4 year old, I was enamored by the sound and speed. That day I became a lifelong DW fan because my oldest brother took me and he told me that DW was from Tennessee. He was a DW fan that all needed to know. And to this day Mt. Dew is still my all time favorite drink.
The description is kinda confusing · While the #11 won like THIRTEEN TIMES, it didn't really dominate and only took the points lead after ¿27? of 30 races. A winless Terry Labonte led most of the way (rounds 2 to 23 or so), then it was Bobby Allison for a couple of rounds before DW took it home.
What a hit or miss season for Dale Earnhardt: 1 win, 7 top 5's, 12 top 10's with an average finish of 18.8 and 12th in the standings. 18 DNF's in the year, just not his year

A lot of good finishes in 1982
I miss the pre restrictor plate races at Talladega and Daytona.
It’s nice to see cars that don’t all travel the exact same speed
