It's up there with "One Vision" - Roger is even making fun in the same way - picking his nose - - and drumming with the back to the drum - - they are really having fun. Really gifted musicians - and good friends - - 😂😂🥰
I don't know where you found this Hap but it is great. Loved it. Thanks so much.I have always loved this song and to see them all together is fantastic!
Fantastic! This is what happens when a group of heavy hitters get together and just have a blast!! 🎉pure energy and for a super cause too!! Loved it! Thanks for the great reaction!
Wow, that was amazing. Loved the Tommy Iommi guitar riffs. What a gathering of rock royalty to perform an iconic song. It would have geen super if Frank Zappa had been there, since it was his concert and the ensuing fire that the song was written about. Hap, super reaction!🎸🎤🎶🤘
This was so good, no slouchers there. So much respect for each other. I got this single a while back. Paul Rogers can pull a tune out, before he had all his face work done, he did not need it.
The making of is pretty epic! Highly recommended! Where did this come from? I clicked "New to you" on YT and the doc came up. Of course having watched that I found the song and had to share!
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I heard, apparently this song is based on a fire that happened in the place that later on became QUEEN'S studio. The lyrics mention a fire in montreux and the studio that was owned by QUEEN was where the fire happened.
Almost right. Yes, Fire, Yes, in Montreux, but not in the studio, but in the casino, Where Deep Purple was going to record their sixth album. But on the last night, Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention were playing in the building. Someone fired a flare gun and the wooden ceiling caught fire. Deep Purple had to find another place to record and they found the Grand Hotel, and the recording was done in the Rolling Stones' mobile studio.
Smoke On The Water is a song from Deep Purple about a fire that burned down the wooden casino with a recording studio at Montreux, Switzerland in 1972. The building was rebuilt aand it became Queen's recording studio in 1979 till 1996. From 2013 the Mountain Recording Studio is opened for public to visit.
They recorded it in 5 sessions. You really have to see a documentary but I don't think it would work for a reaction because it's on official YT channel Rock Aid Armenia along with original video and it's not allowed to be shared.
Brian and Tommy are good friends. During the Tribute concert Tommi rarely left him alone up there. But see, even then John didn't participate. This whole story has something really weird about it. --This was a great find Hap, thanks a million!
Brian and TONY Iommi have been friends since early 1970 .... There is a documentary Making of Smoke on The Water for Rock Aid Armenia on their YT channel. Watch it. And yes, Tony played many songs with Brian, Roger AND John at Freddie Tribute. Please, don't try to find weird stories where they aren't any ...
Paul Rogers singing too - FREE - BAD COMPANY
My ears have been blessed! Master musicians taking an already classic song to an entirely new level!
Go Roger! :-)
All the legends right there! Cheers
Put this much talent together and good things happen 🎉

That was flippen fantastic! 🔥🔥🔥 Rock royalty for sure.
I recognized my fellow Canadians Alex Lifeson from Rush and Bryan Adams.
Again Wowzers!
Love it! And Chris Squire of Yes on bass, with Keith Emerson of ELP on organ? Mount Olympus!
WOW. Bringing together musicians from some of the best bands that ever existed. I never knew this even existed, thank you!

You are correct, but it's Tony Iommi...
Bruce Dickinson - iron maiden

Rock Aid Armenia (there is a documentary on their YT channel) from 1989
Thanks again!

Thank goodness for us all ❤
6:09 - The Keytar!😄
8:10 - I think you may be referring to Bryan Adams. Either him or Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden.

I wouldn't know, but it's a great question for Hap as he is all things Queen

Smoke on the water is my ring tone on my phone…lol. Classic. Try listening to the original.

John certainly DID perform at the Freddie Tribute ! WTF??
Whenever I watch this film, I'm always surprised at how weak Rodgers' voice is compared to Gillan and Dickinson.
