Hey man going to Seychelles in a month, looking to do some similar fishing, lures off the rocks. Any good spots you know of?
What lures do you recommend using in mahe and praslin heading to seychelles in two days
Hi! I mainly used sinking stickbaits. For example the Jack Fin Pelagus 165S, the FCL Labo CSP 145, Duo rough trail Aomasa 148S. These worked really well but I think you can also cast cheaper lures if the fish are biting. And jigs between 60 - 100g like the Savage Gear Needle jig. In my opinion the lures don't really make the difference. Fish pretty heavy and cast far. My set up was Zenaq muthos Accura H, Shimano Twinpower 8000, Saltiga PE4 braid and 80lb or 100lb leader. Hi! Yes that was at anse Intendance. I am out at the edge but on the bay side. The rocks facing towards the open sea are difficult and dangerous to fish if there are waves. Good luck 😄

I see you leave the bait until the seabed. I tried as well but you loose a lot of them, they snag quite quickly in the corals😢
@@leventelukacs3492 Yes that can be annoying. I mainly fished sinking stickbaits which I do not let sink to the bottom. But in this video when I fished jigs I let the line run through my fingers so the lure sinks on the tight line and start retrieve at the moment the jig hits the bottom.

You can walk from the beach at anse Intendance. There is a path along the shore through the forest. Don't go up the hill. Stay near the sea. The beginning of the path is near the summerbar.

Tide doesn't really matter at this spot. Take care of the waves. Early morning was the best time for fishing. A path to the spot starts at the "left" side of the beach. Always stay close to the shore. Don't walk up the hill! Good luck! 😊

what kind of tackle (rod, reel, lure) were you using?
The tackle used is in the description. 😉 This morning I use different jigs about 80 - 100g. Savage Gear Needle jig for example.
Heading up next week….any suggestion for spots to fish?
I fished mainly of the rocks south of Anse Intendance, of the rocks at the south end of Anse Takamaka and at Police bay. If the waves are not to big you could also hike to Ros Lepa. I caught fish almost everywhere but the bigger ones of the rocks in deeper water. I also lost a big GT at the "rockpool". Good luck! :-)
