Mr Robinson admitted to ten occasions of contempt of court for breaching a court order that he cease making a set of defamatory statements about a boy he had defamed. He showed no remorse and no indication he would not breach the court order again. The aggravating factors when considering the length of his committal (his term in prison for contempt) included his failure to attend a hearing during these contempt proceedings, the fact that after committal proceedings were begun after his first four contempts he went on to commit the next six contermpts, and his previous contempts in respect of separate, earlier cases (breaching a court order and risking prejudicing a trial). His committal was for 18 months minus three days already served, he'll be released unconditionally after half this period and he'll remain subject to the court order and punishable by imprisonment if he breaches it again. Mr Robinson's earlier contempts (referred to above in parentheses) related to so-called grooming gang trials. For one, he did some reporting during jury deliberations such that it risked prejudicing the trial, meaning he could have caused a mis-trial. For the other, he breached a court order temporarily imposing reporting restrictions due to the fact there were numerous separate but related trials ongoing at around the same time. In other words, apparently it was more important to him that he broadcast his opinions than wait to see if justice was or wasn't done, regardless of the risk that justice might not be done because of his own behaviour.

It's not just men of a certain colour/ background who do this sort of abhorent acts.
Some powerful men and woman also do this type of behaviour and they corrupt the system because of who they are.
Not making sure though are they
Tommy's been reporting it forever..whys he in prison?
@arfurascii2232 it's not really why he's in prison though is it, he's in prison to silence him, fact.
@@l1qu1dblaze420 He's not in prison for what he plead guilty to ? And he is being silenced, but he's able to release a podcast since he's been inside
I'm genuinely impressed by how adept you are at denying a very observable reality because it doesn't conform to your bias.
@@arfurascii2232have you watched his documentary?
@@kirkbespokeify Do you mean "Silenced"? Oddly, no-one who asks "have you watched his documentary?" can seem to remember its name. No, I just can't seem to prioritise watching nearly two hours of a self-serving piece of work over literally anything else.
A government not fit for purpose.
That's why the tories lost in 2024 😂
A Parliament not fit for purpose.
Tories and Labour equally to blame. All this needs investigating properly and blame apportioned to those culpable.
Wasn't it Theresa May losing all these files? While she was in the office
Absolutely disgusting is Cooper, time to go
Now that it can be spoken about openly let’s hope action is taken quickly along with dealing with future changes.
Well the report was issued in 2022. What did the Tories do?
Starmer wants a cover up at all cost.
