    How would you compare it in term of sound quanlity vs a real acoustic one. which range of acoustic pianos is closest to this electronic piano?

      I apologize for the text I am writing through a translator.
      I am an adult learner. I bought myself a CLP-785 and practice at home on this piano. Great tool, I'm very pleased with it. At the music school where I take lessons, I only play acoustic pianos. I played no less than four different pianos.
      How can I compare the CLP-785 to an acoustic piano? This is not a simple question. At home I play 90% on headphones. I rarely have the opportunity to play from an external speaker system, and even then, not at full power. This is why I have difficulty switching to an acoustic piano. Keystroke force and sound volume. I haven't gotten used to it yet. I probably need to play an acoustic piano for a week to adapt.
      The CLP-785 sounds great. Both through speakers and headphones. The sound in the headphones is absolutely amazing. First up are samples of the Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer pianos. But I like the timbre of “Ballade piano” more - it’s just a fantastic sound. I really don’t know which piano notes were recorded.
      By keyboard. After practicing at home on the CLP-785, I also have problems playing school acoustic pianos. I didn’t immediately understand what was going on. But I figured it out anyway. The CLP-785 copies a piano keyboard that has a "double rehearsal" Acoustic Pinino, it just physically cannot do it. And when pressing keys quickly, especially when pressing them again, on an acoustic piano, I often experienced a skipping sound. It turned out that on the piano you need to completely release the key and raise your finger higher. But on the CLP-785 you don’t need to, you can start playing with the key half-pressed, and this will make the sound quality higher.
      I wrote a lot of letters :)
      In short, after the CLP-785, school pianos seem rough and have the wrong sound to me, due to the fact that they are not always in tune. After the correct tuning of the CLP-785, this is strongly felt.
      But as I wrote above, perhaps you just need to adapt.

      @@user-fr4sv1hl7y in France many music schools use the yamaha CLP 785 and 795 now to learn the piano, also in big conservatories.

    Hello,
    Is it the recording of the piano with microphones or is it recorded directly in line? thank you for your demonstration.

      This was recorded by taking the stereo output of the piano directly to the camera. No microphones used at all, so you're really getting a flavor of the tone itself (as you would when playing with headphones).

    Is it possible to play VST form my Laptop through build in Yamaha CLP-785 speakers ?

    • @kraftmusic
      @kraftmusic  7 місяців тому

      Sure, you could take a 1/8' line output from your laptop and connect to the 1/8' aux input on the CLP-785. To balance the level of the VST with the main piano sound you'd adust the output level from your laptop. Thanks for watching!
