I saw a lot of these as a kid. I was born in 86. My friend down the street and I would rent them. Our local video store allowed kids to rent this stuff. Amazing. Like you, a lot of it has been lost to time in my mind. I remember certain scenes. I need to rewatch these soon. I hope they hold up for me.
I’ve never seen BLOOD DOLLS. Will have to grab it. DEAD HATE THE LIVING: I think it was technically shot on something that could be HD but was edited on tape? Can’t quite remember. If there’s a way to do Blu, that one deserves the upgrade.
Not a Full Moon movie, but the Band bots were heavily involved; I watched Troll the other day for the first time since I was a little kid. Loved every second of it! Great video, mate. Now I want to rewatch Trancers!
Between the time I graduated High School and then joined the Air Force, my friends and I would rent 2 or 3 Empire/Full Moon movies every weekend or so. I've had the pleasure of meeting Charles Band twice, and picking up some cool merchandise. Demonic Toys is one favorite. There are still a couple of lines that we quote from that flick. Love Puppet Master, of course. The Pit and the Pendulum is an unsung classic. I could go on and on. Difficult to pick an absolute favorite, so...*rolls a D20*...Trancers it is!
Some full moon recommendations I would suggest that fly under the radar is the loose apocalyptic robot trilogy, Robot Jox (The film that tanked Empire Pictures and made Charlie Band focus on straight to video movies via Full Moon) Crash and Burn is pretty cool too but I think there is only a dvd release of it, and the so bad it’s good Robot Wars. And I just recently read Radioactive Dream: The cinema of Albert Pyun, I found it rather fascinating
Awesome video, Adam! I’ve loved Full Moon since I was a kid in the video store. Does the book cover their Pulsepounders series? It was a video series for kids back in the day. I remember renting those pretty often but I don’t hear people talk about them.
Dude you have no idea how hard it was to re discover Spellcaster....i had saw it on HBO or something as a little kid in the 90s, but I never knew the title and my only memory was the castle setting itself. Finally found it and it's crazy because I thought I was well versed on charles band films and stuart gordon, yet Spellcaster was elusive for years. It's still entertaining but it's not the best of the bunch I guess. The FX are good like the lion chair that eats the chick from Fright Night 2 lol
@@AdamCesare just finished it. I loved it. Rated it 5 stars on amazon. I've just downloaded First One You Expect. Could you do a video about your writing? How you published your books? It'll be really interesting. Thanks!
Thanks so so much, James. Amazon ratings really help. As for a video about my own writing/process/publishing experiences: I’m definitely planning on doing something like that as I get closer to the release of CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD in August.
I can't decide, I loved the Puppet Master films but probably watched Subspecies more. I also only recently discovered Tubi, I love the service! Found a number of good horror movies on there that are not available on Netflix or Prime.
The Lurking Fear and Shrunken Heads we're close to the top of my list but guilty pleasure be damned I LOVE the Gingerdead man series and the cross over Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong. Devoid of anything but cheese I love me some Gingerdead Man.
Adam Cesare they are all pretty horrible but it is a movie about a killer cookie. My expectations were low. My list: 1. Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver 2. Gingerdead Man vs Evil Bong 3. Gingerdead Man 1 4. Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust
@@AdamCesare i know him and like him very much.. can you do a video about top 10 modern cosmic horror writer similar to laid barron ? that whould be cool.. love from israel

I think my favorites are the Trancer series. It's fun and cheesy but has an interesting story.
I love Trancers. It’s an absolute gas, B-grade science fiction at its finest.

Thanks so much, Dean. Yeah, TROLL’s all the usual Empire/FM suspects. Good pick!

I met him once very briefly when I was in high school. Would love a chance to talk to him now, a book’s worth of background behind me.

Wow. Did not know there was a Pyun book! Just grabbed it. Sounds great. Thanks for the tip.
My favorite full moon movie is subspecies 1&2

There’s a whole chapter about them! Very odd, how they were produced.
Love Castle Freak!!
Anyone watching Corona Zombies tomorrow?

Hi Adam, I just brought The Con Season on Kindle. I love the premise! Can't wait to get started
Very very appreciated, James. Hope you enjoy.

Yeah, Tubi’s such a treasure trove. My buddy turned me onto it and I’m blown away by how much great stuff is on there.
Full Moon is great
I guess it’s a more obscure Full Moon Movie but Arcade was one of my favorites besides Puppet Master
What about “Shrunken Heads?” I remember watching that one night. It’s awesome
Caste Freak
Great pick. Almost talked about it, but at the last minute decided I one day want to do a Gordon-only video, so saving it.

I really want to start with the GINGERDEAD MAN films, only saw the first which, according to the book, is implied as the worst.

Okay, I didn’t think I needed Trophy Heads in my life before watching this video. Correction.
I’m just out here spreading the good word.
I got the 12 disc puppet master set for free from joining streaming
A couple of folks have reached out and said that's how they got theirs. Mine was on deep discount, but sometimes I wish I'd tried out the streaming.
can you plz suggest cosmic horror writers /collection like lovecraft
Laird Barron if you haven’t read him. Start with IMAGO SEQUENCE, his first collection.

Have you tried John Langan? His novel THE FISHERMAN is definitely cosmic.
@@AdamCesare yes ive read john langan..
I like the early full moon movies from 1990-1995
I just got dollman on Blu ray in the mail today now I got 21 full moon Blu rays
Have you read "The Outsider" by Stephen King?
Yes, enjoyed it a lot!
it has to be Dolls and tourist Trap
great picks. Great movies.
What is that shirt? It's great
My buddy Trevor Henderson, fantastic artist. Here's his shirts :www.teepublic.com/stores/slimyswampghost?SlimySwampGhost
Cool
hard choice for me it's gotta be oblivion from 1994 closley followed by either Doctor Mordrid or the trancers trilogy
