how do you start the steps to align with the beat of the music? Is it on the off beat?

So number one and the beat start at the same time. The best way to know where the beat is is to make the song your favorite song and wherever you start snapping your fingers to that is your beat... that is your number one

Thanks, the face forward really doesn't help the stepper because the facing direction is opposite and can through off the foot view... but I imagine you just decided to show from the front. Question, is this view the ladies or men's part?

This is for the lady's part and yet the man part is the same thing except the opposite foot for the basics.

Lady Margaret, when does one use the three count? I've only danced the 8 count or 6 count when some moves require taking the 7, 8 out.

It would just be 123-123 you'll take the 1-2 out
I also made it with 2 counts because everyone learns differently 🤗
I also learned off the 6 count and then transitioned to the 8 count
