I'm so jealous and home sick! Hashem wants me in America for now, but I pray that my family will be able to move to our Holy Land very soon! You and your beautiful family should have tremendous bracha and Yishuv Hada'as in your journey! As Rabeinu says, we should all be Be'derech Eretz Yisroel, which in its depth means to do everying in our power to bring the Geula so that all of us can sing and dance in the streets of Yerushalaim together. May Hashem bless us that it will happen very soon!
Bro you have the craziest story of conversion to aliyah I've ever heard in my life. And all done in such a short amount of time. B'H, it let's us all know that Hashem can do anything. Even things that seem totally impossible to us! This video is beautiful and surreal. Eretz Yisrael is another realm altogether! Toda raba, bratan.
Thank you for sharing this with us :) I agree, it's absolutely lovely. And sometimes the songs before shabbat have to do with the Parashat Shavua, or the current holiday, and that makes it even more fun 😄
I heard a similar siren in Mevaseret Tzion years ago but I thought it was a rocket alert at first. That said, the house we stayed in for Shabbat had a dog, it stole one of the Challah loafs of our table. The owner ran down the street to a bakery and got us another loaf just before shkiah. Only in Israel could you do that and make the Shabbat. That said, the sunset is spectacular.
Not every place (among the religious places, of course) uses this practice across Israel, but yes, it makes something different in your soul before Shabbat begins. The origin of this Shabbat alert is from the days of Beit HaMikdash. There was a Kohen (as far as I remember correctly) standing on the walls surrounding the Temple Mount and blowing a Shofar to tell the people in Jersualem that it's almost Shabbat time. How beautiful. If you go to visit the archeological site next to the Western Wall, you will be able to the very stone where the Kohen was standing. There are even ancient Hebrew words carved in the stone telling everyone the purpose of the stone place. An old greeting from the past.
I had no idea there is a shabat siren in hasidic neighborhoods (it's a diffeerent one than a missile siren, but it's still alarming). The music playing is beautifull too.
Oh really can u pls give me more info id really appreciate it also if their is like something for breslev women we made aliyah like 4 months ago and searching desp for breslev vibes
Sorry that you miss this experience, but you can do your own uplifting music before Shabbat. Some of the neighbors do it before the loudspeaker music. Maybe it's in place where the traffic stops?
Shabbat shalom! It's so magic to hear this sound and to feel it's coming. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment.
We have this in Tzfat too. I love walking to synagogue and listening to the music. Such an experience.

Yeh, it's pretty stressfull- despite being different. It's not everywhere though- only hasidic locations.
From Hulda, Israel to Beit Shemesh, a Shabbat Shalom to your lovely family.
שבת וישראל, שני הדברים הכי מדהימים בעולם!!!☺️
Completely agreed

Beautiful. ❤❤❤
Powerful video. You said a little but said a lot.
In America, in some communities, they play it to. Brooklyn, Lakewood...
I was thinking the same thing. I grew up in the crown heights area in Brooklyn and this video made me emotional. Reminds me of home.
The sun makes it , more peaceful. Split the sky my Lord
I love you guys ❤❤
הצלחה רבה כל הכבוד

גם בשכונת תל גיבורים בחולון מושמעת מוזיקה יהודית ושירי שבת לפני כניסת השבת
@houseoflev please explain the Shabbat siren, זכר למקדש!
where is the link to become a member.
Bless you brother! How long does the Shabbat siren remain on?
Only about 1 minute
This doesn't take place in every city. In Beer Sheva we don't have a Shabbat siren or music 20 minutes before...and I don't know why...

@susie5254
I know the experience from my childhood growing up in different city in Israel .It's indeed a beautiful thing! 😀
Not in most of Israel, only in hasidic dwellings.
I received that 🎶 💙🇮🇱 thankyou!
