Just did Bank 1 Sensor 2 on my '08 3.3L Sorento. Used a Bosch 18152 sensor. Remove the engine cover and the resonator in the rear passenger side corner of the engine compartment to get more room to work. The plastic connectors can be slid off their metal mounting tabs by pulling toward the passenger side. Good luck unplugging the sensor from the other side of the connector. It should be easier. Sprayed the old sensor with PB Blaster. The sensor is located ON TOP of the exhaust pipe. then I used a 7/8" crowsfoot socket (a straight slotted socked would NOT work) and a 1/2" size/18" long breaker bar with 10" extension to remove the old sensor. Put the extension into the crowsfoot socket FROM BELOW and it came out pretty easy.
Lowered the new sensor down from the engine bay (with protective cover on). Screwed the sensor in and torqued it (mine came with anti seize on the threads). Wanted to follow the same cable routing as stock but that requires access to dead center back of the engine bay (figures!). It's easy to put the new sensor cable in the clip located several inches above the sensor. Up top you can use a tie wrap to secure the cable in a safe location. Cleared the check engine codes with my Autel Maxi Check scanner. Went for a short drive and the codes did not come back. When i'm sure the old sensor was the problem i will cut it free (the middle of the cable is secured by a plastic push pin at the back, center of the engine bay). Decided to go ahead and replace the driver side O2 sensor while i was on a roll. With the engine cover off you can remove the black plastic part (one bolt and two nuts) that covers the spark plugs to access the O2 sensor connectors at the back of the engine. The factory sensor wire is secured in place by a couple of hard to reach plastic push pins. I used a Dremel tool to remove the lower push pin so i could use a tie wrap to secure the new sensor cable. I could not access the upper push pin. It might be easier to just leave the original sensor cable in place and secure the new cable to it with tie wraps.

the Oxygen Sensors I bought to replace my old ones don't look like yours, I bought 2 Bosch 15659 Oxygen Sensors for the upstream
and 2 Bosch 15658 Oxygen sensors for the Downstream? but neither look like the oxygen sensor you installed in the video? did i get the wrong Oxygen sensors or is it just the way Bosch makes theirs and it'll work fine?
What size wrench for 2005 kia sorento
My sensor clips look nothing like that on my 08 sorento. I'm having the hardest time just disconnecting them.
Same here. It's a poor design. To the connector designers - How about just using one obvious tab that has to be pressed down to disconnect a connector? ????????????
@@jukeboxzero1 it took me a while, but I was able to do it. I just pulled as hard as I could to be honest lol. I disconnect the majority of the stuff around that area to get a better handle.
@@jioman33 Yeah - removing the engine cover and the resonator in the corner of the engine bay frees up some space. Was not able to follow the factory cable routing up top but should work the way i did it. 7/8 is too big. What size is needed?!
7/8" is correct for a 2008 Sorento 3.3L. Not sure about any others.
I got bad news for Haines. I have a 2005 Kia Sorento and the info for the Power Control module location is absolutely wrong. It shows in the book it is located under the air cleaner on the passenger side inner fender well. There is nothing there other than sheet metal. Nothing under the radiator jug either. Totally inaccurate and not helpful information.
