Strongly disagree with Bell over Bowman. In every statistical category, with a team arguably as good if not better than the 48, Bell was stomped by Bowman.
Agree and Bell has started to get an arrogance about him.
I’d say they are even, I think bowman is massively overrated, other than wins the guy is like 12th- 15th ish driver in every category

Stenhouse has tons of talent he just doesn’t know how to be aggressive and smart at the same time. I think he tries to make up for his bad equipment by his aggressive driving but it’s just not gonna happen.

I'd personally put Truex higher than 5 tbh. Easy top 3 at least. 2018, 2019, and 2021 he was a combined 3 track positions away from being a 4x champ. And in 2020 he was a loose wheel at Martinsville away from winning his way into another Champ 4 appearance.
MTJ never gets any respect so this doesn't surprise me. I hope he goes out this year and just kills it. And final gets his 2nd championship.

the only thing I disagree with is Reddick over Byron, I mean I get that Byron has better equipment but one of them is a threat to win week after week and the other one is barely making the playoffs
I’m gonna have to disagree. Tyler Reddick has been outperforming his equipment by a country mile. Had it not been a struggle of a race at Richmond last year; I would argue he’s a round of 12 or even round of 8 driver. He’s full of talent and I think this year he’s finally gonna show it

People will say “Oh, but Byron’s in his 5th year,” but the 2018 24 team was arguably one of the worst in the Cup Series, it wasn’t Byron. Although he may have better equipment, Byron has shown talent that Reddick hasn’t. Did I forget to mention that Byron is younger than Reddick too? He is better just barely.
Def disagree. Reddick is over performing, Byron is underperforming. If you switch the two, Reddick does way better in the 24. And if I were to guess, Byron could do half of what a Reddick does in his equipment. Not a fan of either btw.

Honestly, I’d move Suarez up. People look at the top teams he’s been with, but don’t know the whole story. He’s a great driver.
I actually agree with your top 5 and usually I dont agree with you. At the beginning of last year Harvick would definitely have outranked Larson. Harvick has also never drove for a A+ team he just makes SHR look better then they actually are.
The only thing I’d change about this list is Busch and Hamlin. I’m sorry Busch has proven year after year that he’s one of if not the most talented driver. I have him over Hamlin any day. 2 more championships speak for themselves
It comes down to what have you done for me lately. 15 wins in the last 3 seasons for Denny.

That's because that was just one year. This year Larson won't have the most wins, because that's how Nascar works and the rest of the top 4 will still have their arguments, like kyle busch having 40 more wins than Larson.

I definitely agree, Tyler Reddick is definitely going to level up this season. I say he makes at least the Round of 12.

A few thoughts about these rankings.
1. I would have Austin Dillion higher. Look at how consistent he has become in the last few years. Also, Tyler Reddick is starting to peak as a driver. I would have Dillion about 15 or so.
2. I know he is only 26, but Chase Elliott being 6 is a little crazy. Now, maybe the 5 guys ahead of him are just as good, but that's a little crazy.
3. I feel like Kyle Busch is starting a downward swing. Look at Jimmie Johnson after he won his 7th title. Yes, Kyle Busch is very talented (As a Kyle Busch hater, that hurts me to say), but he just couldn't do stuff the last 2 years.
4. I will go on record and say that Kyle Larson is a favorite driver of mine, so I might come off biased. However, look at what he did last year. I think him at #1 is perfect for him. Harvick had some good moments last year, but he didn't show the dominance that Larson had.
5. I think Justin Haley is a very underrated driver. I think he's going to be good this year. Wild prediction, but Justin Haley is going to win more races than 23XI and Trackhouse combined. I don't think Kaulig would've come up to the cup level unless they thought they could win.
In the end, Great video. Really cool to see.

I thought that was actually a really great list. I'll always wonder what Harvick would be able to do in Hendrick or Gibbs equipment. He's been so good even without the top 2 teams in my opinion.
He is just so solid, one of the drivers I respect the most currently racing.
Imagine what his stats would be if RCR was on top of their game like they were in the early mid 90s, he was there for 12 years and still managed to get wins good points

I would shove Erik Jones, Kurt Busch, and Tyler Reddick Behind Blaney, Byron, Bowman and Bell. they have B last names but they really are B+. I also think Bubba Should be at 22, and Chastain should be like at 18.
Also, important to note: Jeff freaking Gordon has said he's not as good as Kyle Larson, and Tony freaking Stewart said Kyle Larson is the best driver he's ever seen. 👀

I definitely agree with Eric's list Kyle Lawson is definitely the best driver right now he put on a very spectacular 2021 season with 10 wins and everything else and I am would not be surprised that he will be the 2022 Nascar cup series champion this year

I’m not even a Reddick fan, but have been defending him so much in the comments, I may just be turning into one lol! I totally agree, people are saying he should be lower, but it’s the opposite. Guy is driving the hell out of what he’s got.

Harvick extremely talented. Temper has affected him last couple years. Last year it caught up to him. He goes down, Kyle Bush up more, Elliot up, Larson is where he belongs. Good list only a couple minor changes. Keep trying you'll get better at this. JK, LOL

Great video. I only disagree with one thing. You said Kyle Larson is the best race car driver in North America. I understand that, but I think that honor goes to Scott Dixon. He’s a monster on speedways, short ovals, road courses, street courses. 6 time INDYCAR champion. The dudes resume is insane.
You can't put Larson anywhere else. No matter what point of contention is raised, he just won the championship. That literally makes him #1.
My changes are cindric and Briscoe lower, stenhouse higher, Haley higher, bj McLeod and Cody ware swap spots.
Harrison Burton will surprise a lot of people in Cup. They will win ROY and possibly sneak into the playoffs with a surprise win on a plate track

About to watch this, but unless Erik Jones is ranked above William Byron, he'll be too low. And that's nothing against Byron, who is a future star, but Jones is better. Road courses, plate tracks, short tracks, flat tracks, mile and a halfs it doesn't matter, Jones is good on all of them. And since his rookie year has he caused even one crash? Most underrated driver I've seen since I began watching the sport in 2003. I just wish he showed his personality more, but that may come with age.

His 2020 was the most underrated season of anyone that year.. I think you’re close to where he should be placed, but I think he’s definitely better than Cristopher Bell. Also think Keslowski is a little high
See for me it's the fact that he has him significantly lower than William Byron, who he spotted three wins last year and not to mention the fact that the race is Alex Bowman didnt win were because of mechanical failures i.e Martinsville, bristol dirt. If he wants to say the 48 team is the 15th best team he can do that with Alex Bowman is not the 15th best driver he's better than that

Chase deserves to be higher than KB after two straight champ four appearances and KN having none. Even in 2019 when KB won the champ, he only had two more wins than him whereas the last two years chase has had 4 more wins

Watching practice, Kaz Grala/Money Team and Villeneuve/Reaume-Hezeberg are SCREWED. Kaz could pull it off, but the 27 of Villeneuve is one car I feel pretty confident in saying he's one of the two going home.

The correct list is Larson 1, duh, Kyle Busch--best (most skilled to Larson) 2 and any of your list after . . .Harvick is too old and doesn't have the young edge anymore but KH, Truex and def Joey Logano (just won first Clash) - - Eric; JL22 is a really good driver . . . .

Kyle Larson by far is the current GOAT. I immediately became a fan of his when he joined Hendrick. Man it’s even sweeter to hear that he’s gonna do the 1,100 miles during Memorial Day weekend both the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600. Kurt Busch just fell short on that quest maybe Larson can complete that.
By the way is Jimmie Johnson gonna do the Indy 500?
Kurt, Kyle B, Harvick, Keslowski, and Logano will have a hell of a season. Cindric will win a race and Penske will be the dominate team.
I do agree that Larson had one of the best cars each week last year. We have to remember that 5 car was the 48 the year before. With the same crew and crew chief that Jimmie Johnson couldn’t even make the playoffs with.
Many thought Kyle Larson was done for in NASCAR in 2020, the “next Jeff Gordon” only amounted 6 wins in 6 years with many post season chokes. Gets a second chance with a team that hadn’t won a race in 3 years and failed to make a 16 team playoff the past 2. Larson’s proceeded too take that team too the top, damn near doubling his career win total in ONE SEASON having the best statistical campaign in arguably 15-20 years. Not too mention turning his CC Cliff Daniels from “another Lance Mcgrew” in 2020 too Chad Kanus 2.0 in 2021.

It’s funny People overlook the fact harvick has really been the most consistent driver. He doesn’t really wreck like he used to or other drivers. He’s rarely outside the top ten. I hope he can win once or twice this year. Get that 60. But let’s see if the champ can do it. Seems lately no one can back to back
Eric have you noticed how much better the cars sound at Daytona vs out in LA. Although being there in person you may have a different opinion. For those of us watching on tv I wasn't impressed with the way they sounded out in LA. Daytona sounds wonderful!

I just have a feeling Kyle Busch will be a beast this year. And take practice with a grain of salt but McDowell was one of if not the fastest cars at the Daytona practice today.

In my opinion Kevin Harvick is right where he belongs on your list. Sure wins matter and Harvick went winless but what was more impressive to me what how consistent Harvick was through the 2021 season he had 0 wins but finished ahead of a ton of other guys that had those stage wins and race wins throughout the entire season. that in my opinion is what make a great driver, consistency and making the most out you the equipment given to you and Kevin Harvick most certainly did just that.
