Manipur News | Manipur CM Biren Singh Quashes Reports Of Possible Leadership Change In State

- While speculations are Rife about a possible leadership change in ethnic violence hit Manipur today Chief Minister N Biren singh has admitted that some of his party and allies MLAs are in New Delhi but he claimed that they have gone to meet the central leaders for effectively solving the Manipur issues and not for seeking his resignation has been reported in a section of media.
Singh added that on Thursday he had a meeting of MLAs where it was decided that a memorandum will submitted for bring lasting peace in Manipur and make a courtesy call for the victory of NDA in the general election. "We have decided that small committe will be made to meet the central leaders. The memorandum was singed by NDA MLAs around 34 and 35 MLAs.
This is rumours promoted by vested interest groups that they have gone to seek my resignation. It is wrong. MLAs in the meeting have placed on record the appreciation for Prime minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Home minister Amit Shah for their resolve to solve the Manipur issue. Shah has even started holding meeting with different agencies. " Biren singh said.
A group of MLAs of BJP and it's allies including NPF, JD(U) and NPP have gone to New Delhi.
