It was very humbling to learn about the tectonic movement and volcanic activities in the Hakone area, the researcher guide was also super friendly and knowledgable.

Also highly recommend this guesthouse, very economical, very clean and facilities are super good. Can you imagine you pay USD40 and can access 3 onsen just walking down the stairs? The only drawback of this place is it is a bit daunting to reach by public transport at the first place, but once you get the hang of the transport in Hakone, you should have no problem.
Nearest Hakone Tozan Railway station = Miyanoshita Station (8 mins walk)
Nearest bus station = Shinja Shita (right next to the entrance)
