I rode a train similar to this once, except on NS, and it was carrying gravel instead. I ended up at a nice concrete plant in the middle of nowhere like 2.5 hours later, it was a fun ride.
You are mounting the wrong car, you want to mount the car trailing the coupler, not the one in front of it. Reason being if engineer goes notch 2 to notch 3 on a heavy train at the very moment you're swinging your foot towards the stirrup, you could miss as train lurches hard, you will swing towards the coupler and fall under the wheels. If same happens on car trailing coupler, you swing towards side of car, and probably fall also, but the side of the car is about 2'10" from the rail so you will only fall into the gravel. A Lehigh Valley conductor taught me that about 50 years ago. Its saved me a few times. Ride safe so you can ride again.
What is the cargo ? Iron ore pellets or Pea gravel ? Why would you not do proper description of the video, or voice over explaining what it is? How hard can it be?
Hope your gonna do it pro bono. He don’t have any money, the only money he has is his mommys, daddy’s or grandmas money. He don’t have a job. And he’ll probably never get one. He stalks people on Life360.
When I get the chance I’m going to ride this train far. Be ready, video is going to be CRAZY!
Why me though?

That cargo is called Taconite which is a mixture of silica and iron ore rolled into pellets.
I was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it.😢
Invest in a helmet camera or mounted go pro. You’re going to lose a limb doing it one handed.
I plan on doing that eventually. For now, I have to manage like this. Thanks for looking out, man! 🤙
Rip
Rip he fell.

If you know trains, the video is self-explanatory-it features a “hopper” railcar carrying marbles (Taconite Ore 25-30% iron).
@@t-rune😂
I guess you’ve never seen a person with a severed limb
Need a good lawyer when you slip and lose a leg?
