Honestly the guitar community was getting pretty boring before this style became popular. Mindless sweep picking, constant “shredding”, over distorted guitars etc. really great to see people doing amazing things with clear tone.
Uhhhh....people have been playing like this since I was a kid. In fact, go to just about any black church in the U.S. or listen to a lot of 90s R and B/Gospel and you can find tons of people who've been playing that style for years. Sorry to burst your bubble but Masato isn't doing anything new from where I see it.
