Every day, Peace Corps Volunteers and all of us who support them wake up and spend the day working hard to make the world a better place. Peace. It's the first word of who we are.
We're so much thankful to all of you volunteers (USA),because all of you are working so hard for those other countries to make them better espacially for the new generations coming .^I wish you could have success with this mission everywhere you go ... and I know you will*
After my latest flame dumped me, my grandmother died and I learned that I had only made it to a Waiting List for Medical Studies at Hahnemann University, I decided to join the Peace Corps to teach Secondary Science, because wallowing at home was killing me. I could see the world in a way that Hemingway would appreciate. And I could serve my country. I was not the kind to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon" and was labelled "Rider, the Outsider". It fits. I never wanted to fit into any pecking order. Antisocial? Maybe, but the outside perspective is closer to Reality. Some of those that got along swimmingly dropped out. I lasted an extra year. I got to meet a Sultan and stay as a guest on the outskirts of the Presidential Palace in Yaounde. And I came back with a wife and son. Not the model volunteer, but apart from teaching, I was doing my own thing.
What a brilliant and successful program through the years. The countries that are involved know how the people of the United States are very giving and friendly. And as person whom has spent a lot of time in Europe. I always leave with expressing courteousness and respect during my visits.
Here the Lubavitch Rebbe who passed away 29 years ago, (today) said in about President Kennedy and the Peace Corps. The Rebbe had started such a program many years earlier which today has his representatives on EVERY Nation of the Globe! ua-cam.com/video/m2N5BZjz3pQ/v-deo.html
Alright guys, If anybody sees this, please help. My plan is to join the army and become a combat medic, I don't want to kill, but I will if I have too. I want to save as many people as I can, but then I hear about the Peace Corps. I hear that I can do more for people than I could in the army, but I don't want to do college and I don't for the army. what should I do?
You should think about your choices and choose something that is best for you. No one else can do that for you. Both of those choices are huge life choices. Personally I think you should join the Peace Corps, its a great opportunity to travel and go on an adventure while helping people around the world and making a difference. My dad served in the navy for 20 years and I thought about joining the service but after my last year of college this year I'm applying for the peace corps. Best of luck to you.
You can do both. Go into the Army and become a medic. After you get out, you will probably be ready for college. Then go into the Peace Corps if you want. I am an RPCV who served with two former military guys. There is not a conflict of interest. In the end, we all want to serve and strive for a safer and better world. Good luck with your future endeavors.
💗❤❤💞This Gospel message if you continue to believe this message, you will be saved: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,
The Peace Corps will set your priorities for life!
That is undeniably true.
Consider yourself very fortunate to have the courage and fortitude to enlist.

President Kennedy had a dream that continues to manifest itself; thank you from a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Ecuador 2017-2020)!

No doubt the Biden administration is ruining it. The peace corpse of the US should only worry about the US and no other country.
Patience .
QUESTION? What is the age limit you can join?
