This is a really nice operation! I live near Niagara Falls where farming is still prominent but not nearly as big grain farms, still quite big though

no, farming makes place for forests and nature, and spain is in a state of desertification which means its turning into a desert, these farms would only increase that, spain should actually defarm more and plant trees

so sad to think that anyone would have to farm that much land to make a living in Canadian agriculture How many family farms have you taken over ? Hope that you come your lump when you are raking it in.
This probably is a family farm. If farming was so profitable why is the family who once owned the land not still farming it? Farming in most areas with only a few exceptions is only truly profitable on a large scale.
What happens to the chopped straw that is thrown out the back of the vehicle? Are they able to make straw out of it or is it just left on the ground?
some use it as straw but most set their harvesters to chop it as it is good for the soil.
What’s the idea of discing, When you have a seedhawk. Genuinely interested.

@@troyadamswaymarfarm5224 I just thought, Väderstad rapid/spirit series were biggest they make... I never know, they could make this type of seeders. Here in northern Europe, everyone uses much smaller equipment.
(heck, my smallest field's are so small than you can't even fit that seeder in there!) :D
@@Saunis But these air drills are not cultivating, they just seed directly into the stubble. I'm not sure if you can find a tractor what would be able to pull a 84ft/25m wide Rapid :)

What crop is that towards the end? Can some1 explain why they "windrow" it and then combine it?
Canola/rapeseed - a few reasons - the crop has a high moisture content windrow it and leave it dry in the sun for a few days or a week - also it allows unripe seeds on the plant to ripen with less chance of the ripe seeds dropping in windy conditions.
