Open E tuning should be mentioned first before the lesson even begins.....he could swing.....great job.....I'm old enough to have seen him play live three times before he passed....he's the reason I play guitar today....sure miss those boys....keep his shoes shining

Is the action higher on your guitar?
Just a little bit, but close to normal height action!

Is it in open E? Great song, great player and great sound🎸😎🎼💥
Thanks man! Yup, open E tuning!
is this standard tuning?
Open E tuning!
Didn’t Duane Allman play Statesboro Blues in open tuning? If you said that I missed it
You are correct, I’m in open E tuning here - awesome how much of the Duane vocabulary is right there in between two frets so much of the time!
Great playing , but a terrible camera angle for visual reference.
Noted! Thank you, wont use that angle next time
Nice playing. Just fyi. Duane modeled his playing after hearing Jesse Ed Davis' version of Statesboro Blues: ua-cam.com/video/agJB3bpqolo/v-deo.html
Thank you Frank! Absolutely right about the inspiration from Jesse Ed Davis, Davis is a great inspiration to so many guitar greats!
