Gary Kemp's treatment of Tony was the reason he wants nothing to do with SB. Sadly, Martin's loyalty lies with his egotistical brother. If Martin and Gary weren't brothers, I think things would've turned out much differently for the band.
Martin kept out of the original bust up and court case which followed. Gary won the court case as he writes all the songs. Obviously there was still abit of unfinished business with Tony. If Tony can do well as solo artist then so be it. Once bands split they shouldnt reform as its never going to be the same as it once was. Martin kept out of such arguments etc, although Garys brother you have to respect his neutrality.
@@andisadler2897 If bands want to get back together again, that's their prerogative, it's also Tony's perogative to leave if he feels mistreated, yet again. Nobody wanted Martin in the original court case, his loyalties were with both and nobody wanted him in the middle. He wasn't neutral anymore. Look at his treatment of the other lead singer....terrible.
@@mr.balloffur i havnt seen martin slagging anyone off. If he did well then i apologize, i didnt think he was that type of a man tbf. Tony had abit too much to say, always did. Plus the royaltys situation always struck a chord with him for years.

These two are so sweet and very much in love still nearly 40 years on you can just see it on there faces how much in love they are still I can't believe the love these two have for each other it's just so beautiful
Gary could never get over Tony being a tory,a real card carrying tory,why would this bother him so much?tony has said in interviews that this was the case,if you see tony on this same thing a month before he mentions about politics,i just do not understand why this bugged gary? i have never seen him stand up and show any support for any party so i cannot say who he tipped his hat to.
I don't think it has anything to do with "politics" as in the right or left, I think he meant politics of the band. Tony and Gary have been on opposite ends of the political spectrum for decades, they just don't talk about it.
