Rabbi, I'm one of your students in your study group. Lately I've not been able to connect with the group since my brother whom I take care of is in the hospital. However, when the opportunity arise I listen to your lectures. I've only just able to listen to this one. What I took out of this lecture are a few things, no, not just one. Judging people, discipline, my train of thought, and a host of others, which I'm hoping to put into practice. I'm forever grateful for your lectures. They help to guide me in the direction H-S--M wants me to go. Whenever I'm dealing with an issue or issues your lectures always seem to hit the nail on the head. Like you each day I'm trying to get a step closer to the Master of the Universe. I'm really a work in progress. I despise the fact that people judge you based on your past. In my belief, the past should be placed in it's rightful perspective......in the past. It's not who you are now. We all have a past. Often times, not one we're proud of. The key is that our past should not define who we are presently. I'm not proud of my past but sure am proud of how far I've come. Baruch H-S--m I know I'll get there in due course.

Whenever I fall back into the trap of the yetzer hara, I am grateful to have a lecture from you to bring me back on track - thank you for your being and your efforts dear Rabbi. However deep the pit I find myself in sometimes, your story is always a reminder that a turnaround is possible. So I pick myself together and start aiming and walking upwards again. In a world with almost no role models worth that name, thank you and HaShem for your leading example.

A group of people in Kingston NY gather together for Prayer Shabbat Services and the Holy day’s. We are Torah Pursuant believer’s. We used to be a Christian church but when HaShem showed us the Truth we quickly became Torah observant men where Tzitzits and women with new born baby boys prepare for their Bris.

Kvod HaRav Anava. I hope you see this comment or someone please let him know, as Rabbi Anava knows me. I am the one in San Diego who had organized in the past & tried to organize lectures here this tour and I contacted some shuls and Rabbis and either flat out said no, didn't call or email me back or said will get back to me and never did. I did contact Sara on the Admin email to let her know, but didn't heard back for her for over a month after we were already in touch.
Todah Rabah Rabbi Anava for all you do. You are very very appreciated & thought highly of by many in this world.

Your story is awesome there is so much to learn from you, your past made you a stronger person; Hashem is all forgiving and loves us all. You have inspired me, for those who speak negatively of you, to each their own. Why judge others, we should be humble and understand that what we have wont be with us forever; all I know I am trying my best to learn the Bible and only way to learn it is through a Rabbi and how Torah is very important. God bless you and your family.

I was in the hospital 3 weeks ago most likely psychosis from black mold exposure from the air Bnb I was in since I was sober. I still don’t know what happened but I was completely clinically alive and literally the entire experience I thought I was dead and didn’t know it. My phone stayed on 5% for what felt like too long and I forsure thought I was no longer living in the real world. It felt like days had passed. The night before I kept almost getting hit by cars which is normal in LA because people never watch where they are going but my point is for hours I thought I was dead and experiencing some weird purgatory or afterlife . Even feeling like I was being punished for my beliefs considering I thought I was no longer alive. The scariest experience but also the most meaningful experience. I’ve had a complete reset and paradigm shift in all areas in my life but most importantly all my bad habits that were holding me back died that day. It’s true when you don’t make changes yourself Gd will make them for you and I got to go home to my family and reset mentally , spiritually and emotionally without the chaos I was dealing with in LA. Something I wouldn’t have done on my own since I tried to do everything on my own when I needed help.
