Beware of the limitations on the 3.5 mm Audio Input on Studio X50. You indicated it can be used for a mic, but according to Poly, it cannot. The Poly VideoOS 3.2.1 release notes state: "You can now configure the Studio X50 to use its 3.5 mm audio port for audio input. The Studio X503.5 mm audio input is only supported as an audio content input and can’t be used as a 3.5 mm microphone input." I haven't seen any functional differences in the release notes from 3.2.1 to current (3.4.0). Best of luck on deployments. Thanks for the content!
Thank you for the extra information on the Poly, I also found out that you can't connect an extra computer on the HDMI input as before the the new update remove that feature and the only way is to change you Service setting for example from Microsoft to the Poly resetting all your Microsoft information. I was on the call with a Poly technical and he mention that many feature had been remove and will be repair on the next firmware update including the tracking AI on the camera,
could you make a video on how to update the software on these using a usb please . i have 20 of these and they are on build 3.1 i am having alot of difficulty updating them
You need to access the system through the web GUI interface. Get the IP address and log in with the admin and check for update here and set to automatically update if needed.
@@Upgradetech i already did all that etc .. but some i have will update over the air and some i have to a thinbe drive .the thumb drive ones no matter what i do will not update to 3.9.. and the thing is the touch pads will update but once they update you cannot use them with the paired x50 because the x50 it self is running an older version of the software ..
@@Upgradetech figured it out .. if a system is on 3.1. right out the box you wont be able to update it over the air . you have to first. 1. download 3.2.0 2. copy , touchctrl , videocodec and sofwareupdate.cfg. to the root of the usb stick. 3. plug that into the poly and it should start updating. after its completed then you can update to the latest software over the air. seems simple but i downloaded so many software versions to figure out which one was the key .. sorry for the bother . cheers 👍🏾
@@Upgradetech and one more thing how can we enable go-to meeting and other cloud VC applications? Do we need to order OEM for that? Also multiparty h.323 call is possible here ? I mean do we have the option to apply for multi party license call
@@amitsharma-rm3ir the system might require a diffrent license and it has to be setup through when you log in directly to the IP address, here you will see all the setting and requirements
@@Upgradetech The way I understand it is the USB C is used to connect to a laptop to run other web conference services. If it's setup for Teams and you want to zoom you connect to the usb-c. No?

How do we pair touch panel with X50?
The process is simple make sure both system are on the same network and it will display number to match on the X50 but you must be in a paring mode.

@@kmortensen You can do this but I haven't tried this feature because it is on our main DisplayTV at the moment. Might give this a try to test.
