I am pretty sure that was you that I talked to toward the end of the show....Thanks for coming and sharing you have been watching the channel almost since the very beginning.
Hi, Mike Great show,I think you did make the show with the best VW The Cherry picker. Glad you did make it safe, come safe Home again my friend.Greetings.as usua🇺🇸💠🤗👍🏻☮️💥🇳🇴🇳🇱l.Hubertus
The Orange Picker looks fantastic, I'm glad to see you made it there and got to show it off after all that time and effort. I gotta admit, I was skeptical about ever seeing the lift working... Mike, you are The Master. -Burt in NJ
What an amazing outcome this vehicle has had compared to when you brought it home. You should be very proud of yourself. Loved seeing all the other busses at the show and dreaming of having one of those. Thanks for taking us along.
Yes it was! so much fun even to drive it. it just drives like a new truck. straight and smooth. Charlie wants to go up in the boom. When he gets back from Germany. Charlie and Erica may come out or meet up just to drive it and go up in the lift. he was so excited on the phone. also Kimball Rich saw it at RVA. Was totally blown away. He saw it before and was totally shocked. others there too. Just blown away. They want me to take it to Kelly park. I think I am going to do that. He thinks it will win the best of show. with some pictures and stuff.
You've got the old rig looking awesome all your hard work and long hours have really paid off. It is also definitely a one of a kind I have never seen another at any museum or car show well done
when charlie gets back he wants to take it up... But your height might make you top heavy easier to fall out of there. I am used to working on these things so it doesnt bother me at all. my other truck goes up 2 times that high.
My 67 has a OCTO sticker in front passenger window. Seeing this bus has been in Pittsburgh for at least 30 years, it's an OLD sticker. -- Thanks for the video.
Hey mike, it was nice seeing your single cab after following your progress on UA-cam! thats me at 35:47 giving a big thumbs up. The lift looks shaky lol I would poop my pants being up there!
there were more people when I first got there looking at it. some left early to the second show. By the time I went up in it there were a lot less people.
Hey Mike ! None of the busses had what the 67 panel I had had . Fiberglass fender flairs and front flair kit . I am sure Bozo got them from J.C. Whitney . I saw some of the air intake flairs . The 67 had all of the junk on it .
I was wondering if you have taken this to a public scale to weigh it with and with out the lift , a d compare it to the fly weight when you first got it ?
@@Mikefngarage how's it feel going down the road ? You said it was loosing speed on hills , how does it do on curves or speed bumps . Where these regularly driven on roads or just operated at industrial parks , airports etc.
yea exactly. I would like to run more actual sound but too much music everywhere I walk. so I started using reverse in some cases just to have the actual sound there.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO ROBERT and JOHN......for following me down in the pickup with the tow dolly just in case we had a problem.
So cool seeing your finished bucket truck at OCTO! You did an amazing job restoring it. You gotta be proud

Sad to have missed OCTO this year. It must have been sweet to show up there with that freshly restored bucket truck.
next time.

Awesome 👏 love see the bucket truck there! Thanks for letting me stand in it. I wish I would taken it up. I was too scared 😱
took shin all the way up at the classic. I may bring it to prado. I live about 15 minutes from there.

Wish I could have been there. I still miss my stolen ‘66 Kombi!
Onward and upward to the ‘54 split!
yea stolen busses suck the worse the 54 sounds exciting.
Oops…rather the ‘54 oval. All that talk of split windshield buses got me discombobulated!
What a great collection/show of classic air-cooled Volkwagens ! Thanks for posting ! Slainte' ! Cheers !
Simply amazing. Loved the bus out of Panama?? I would love to attend a great meet like that. Thanks Mike.
yea that was really cool. I wish I could have more actual sound but there are just too many radios and music playing. would get demonetized for sure.

I know, right? I tried prodding Mike a few videos ago to get a safety harness for the popcorn bucket, but don't think that has happened.
@@j6sj7 Not yet, I seen it at the OCTO on saturday. lol no harness
Very cool show! Enjoying all the way from Big Island. So many cool and unique rides. Yours with the bucket is just super cool for the rarity factor.
awesome job Mike. glad to see it doing it's thing at OCTO. cheers
As always Mke. Thanks for your efforts Kind regrds Alex
Would have expected a crowd of people at this event with you demonstrating the lift nonstop but maybe the lack of sunshine did it..
there were 2 shows on the same day . I also went to the second show for a while
there were more people when I first got there looking at it. some left early to the second show. By the time I went up in it there were a lot less people.
Mike, its awesome to see what you ve done with the Bus🤙🏻
Hey Mike, I saw your bus at the Classic, looking good.
thanks Roy nice to see you.

Were there any type 2 busses? Or is this mainly a type 1 show?
bugspray at the VW meet xD
Hey Mike ! That Jettabus was custom , and I bet it had AC . They must turn the ring gear around to make it go forward ?
Looks good,carry on.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks 👍
I was wondering if you have taken this to a public scale to weigh it with and with out the lift , a d compare it to the fly weight when you first got it ?
yea I weighed it I think it was 2300 lbs without the lift then with the lift ad 1500lbs. plus me looking at 4000lbs plus. powered with a 40hp engine.

Really nice
copywrited music playing in the background while in the bucket so you put the vid into reverse?
