Will England win EURO 2024? 🤔👇
As a Italian supporter I really want Italy To win again and break Spain's Record
But we are not the favourites so, I think Germany will win it😕
I would say, Germany, Holland, France all go further than England.
I don't know, but I hope they will never win anything. Their fans and media are unbearable.

England; The Spurs of International football.
More of a Newcastle I'd say. Much hyped, won nothing for 60+ years.
Spurs won trophy atleast
Yep. Even the same colours!
Spurs play good football.
England is the Everton/Stoke of international football.

england's players are overated by the media. they are not that good. i dont know why england is being termed as the favourite to win.
That’s just a stupid statement. And I’m not even an England fan. But harry Kane is the best no. 9 in the world and Jude Bellingham may very well be the best player in the world currently. If Phil Foden is your 3rd best player, you have some talent at your disposal.
You wouldn’t know any of that from the 2 matches they’ve played, but that’s not the players fault. Nothing like subbing on three runners, mere minutes after taking Alexander-Arnold off (England’s best long ball specialist) to show you where the real problem lies.
England doesn’t have the most talented squad at the euros (top 3 probably) and they should have never been considered favorites. But to call their talent “not that good” is a cretinous opinion, expressed by a dangerously unlearned person.
Aim higher. Much.
@@SKa-tt9nm Although you disagree most strongly with Alex - which you have every right to do - you effectively label him - as opposed to his opinions - as stupid, cretinous, and dangerously lacking in erudition.
Alex's viewpoint is strong - and, perhaps, a little over-stated - but I don't perceive it in any way as a personal attack.
You are cordially invited to "aim much [lower]": at me - an even more cretinous individual...
England are allways favourites at the bookies because that much money goes on them, and the press then says they are favourites full stop
@@davehoward22 An interesting thought...
@@philfoster8789 you make a very fair point, which will be reflected by my measured response to you. And by contrast, it’ll highlight how little I thought of Alex’ point.
In my view - and I’ve been wrong on occasion - Alex deserved exactly the answer that he received, because his post - upon another review - was worse than cretinous. It was intellectually lazy and generic. UA-cam is *littered* with posts just like his. These people fall in one of two categories:
1) they genuinely believe that this England team - which includes England’s all time leading scorer, a multi-golden shoe winner in multiple top 3 leagues, multiple champions league winners, a player who may very well be simultaneously the best player in the world and the best young player in the world, etc - isn’t talented. These people are dangerously stupid and it’s our collective duty to check their ridiculous opinions periodically.
Or
2) people who don’t believe #1, but are just trolling. I find these people even more tiresome.
While your point is a good one - and well made - upon another review Alex strikes me as a person who’s exhibited no redeeming qualities in the short time we’ve known him. Stated differently, his opinion is so bad, it *has* to reflect on his character.
All the best.
I think that at last England are going in the right direction now, with the U21 team winning the last Euros, and the senior team getting to the last Final.
they will be useless so long as England doesn't have world class coach
Its funny how the Pirlo panenka was brought on because even the English didn't like Joe Hart's antics during that shoot out & Pirlo humiliated him
If we look at the 8 countries that have won the world cup, 7 have won 4 or more international tournaments.
England won the world cup, in England. They didn't have to qualify, they played every game at Wembley. This is not a track record of a power house football nation. Expect something similar, and you won't be disappointed.
Fair point!
Not sure if it was HiTC Sevens whom studied Englands’ progress through the 1966 event but the interpretation demonstrated how the team were more often than not on the good end of refereeing decisions along with the overall politics of the tournament weighing in their favour. I’ve never heard an alternative narrative or critical take on 1966 but it was a real eye opener. 👍
Great stat! Every other WC winner wins in different generations
The reason is simple, they're not as good as they think.
Wrong...
They're not as good as the media think
England's crap, that's why.
the reason England don't win shit is because of the fa.
they are men running the team who have never played the game.
they need a coach with passion, balls, leadership, good knowledge of the game and who is well respected.
the only reason why we have the best players in the world is because the clubs want to win by any means so they get the best coaches.
but what does that stand for when you have a man who was a shit player, soft character and really has no idea about how to win as the manager.
come on man.
It's funny how on the back pages they are saying England are shit they put saka on the cover when he has had the most man of the matches for England.
mark my words England won't make it out of the group and again as an English man I wouldnt give a shit.
The EPL no longer attracts the best players in the world.....that's the point! If it did, then Vinicius Jnr, Bellingham, Mbappe, etc would all be playing for English clubs - not elsewhere. You could argue that we no longer attract the best managers either - look at United, Chelsea, Newcastle. It's delusional to think that we do - either in terms of players or managers.
The days when we went toe to toe with La Liga clubs are over. I think in a few years time the EPL will be overtaken by Series A. The Italian league is slowly on the way back. Give it another five years and by 2030 we'll be losing players to Serie A - just like we did in the 90's.
Everything goes in cycles. The EPL is now on a gradual decline, and Serie A, on a gradual rise.
With you bro. Until the yes man ting is done, so are we.
The federations in Italy or Germany are not exactly run by competent men either.
I'm German. After Germany failed to clear group stages in 2018, I told my English friends that I might become an England fan for the rest of the tournament. Their response? "You do so at your own risk."
Let's start with the richest league in Europe "The Premier League" it maybe the richest and most popular league in the world but I reckon it's overrated and underwhelming compared to La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy) or the Bundesliga (Germany). The problems begin with the so called "Tall Poppy Syndrome" within the national team and yes the egos do clash at times and the rivalries between the big clubs are very intense and at times "very toxic" between the fans, the media & of course the players. I also feel that the way England won the World Cup in 1966 was off the back of their style of play using tactics like "Physicality & Brute Force" by targeting the top players like Pele & Eusebio with hard fouls and physical exertion.
Speaking of England's style of play, one: It's outdated, two: It's boring and predictable, three: it lacks creativity and flair, and four: it lacks cohesion and chemistry. What I've noticed about England is also it's lack of identity within it's own country and the way the national team is viewed by the media and the fans particularly by the media who I reckon have a so called "Bipolar Disorder" where they hype up and endorse the team so much one day and then brutaly chastise the team the next day instead of sympathising and encouraging the team through tough periods.
Over the years they're playing styles have improved but a lack of patience and faith by the FA, the fans & the media of constant failures does also affect the mental state of the players on the park so players go into a pattern of thinking and a "Fear of failure" mentality which is a dangerous way of thinking instead of instilling belief of "We can win this" mentality which causes players to play a "safe & low risk" type football instead of "High risk & high reward" mentality where it just being predictable, ultra defensive, and relying on opposition to make mistakes instead of taking the opposition head on, in trying to crack the opposition defences.
Because they're not as good as they think. That's why 😂
I think the probelm is that England aren't and have never been as good as they think they are. There are always stronger teams than them at every tournament, yet for some reason go in thinking the trophy is in the bag before a ball is even kicked.
After this tournament, the lyrics of that bloody song can be altered to “60 years of hurt “ & the curse will be broken.
Sorry England haven’t won anything since 1966!!! France, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal etc etc need I say more
Also 1966 was rigged with the Wemley goal
You forgot DENMARK 1992 😉
@@ravanpee1325No it crossed the line thats been debunked...
Is there really such a thing as a curse? Maybe it's just that England haven't been good enough. They are no good at penalty shootouts and they don't try hard enough and they don't play to win.
It’s that bloody Three Lions song which is a curse in my opinion 👍
They tried hard in the qf of the 2022 wc.
One problem is we are finally producing some world class players, but dont produce world class managers.
Because the EUROs is a football tournament, not a lumberjack competition.
🇪🇸 2008 - 2012 🏆🏆🏆
With the DADDY of all club rivalries 😂😂
From what I know the spanish national team often suffered from the rivalry between Barcelona and Madrid. It was different between 2008 and 2012. They put their rivalry aside and won everything in that period.
It’s largely because in England they believe that being English automatically means they are somehow ahead of everyone else at the start gun. Everyone else is against them or they are unlucky. It’s actually because other nations teach the kids to play in technique from a young age not just kick and show physical prowess or passion. Same in business too.
good things about England: they have good squad bad thing about England: they only have good squad
England players need to fight for each other..
Graham Taylor was correct. I always thought England should play the way we play in the league. If we had done that in the 70's and 80's, other nations wouldnt have been able to live with us.
A loser mentality. Grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Shake the absolute shite out of the opposition by letting the attacking talent play with freedom. Lift that trophy.
But, no! We've got Southgate. 😢
'04 (the year Greece won) was the one that got away. Rooney in the international form of his life until his injury, and even then Campbell had a late winner ruled out in the QF.
No…England don’t have winning mentality at national level..expect the usual nations like France, Italy and Germany to grow into the tournament..Spain may do well also…
Let's simplify it. Lacking skill, brains and self belief. All you need to be successful.
The media and all the over hype and over analysis is the curse of England fc

Thank you, very interesting. I was too young alas to remember the 1966 world cup. But as an 8 yr old fanatic, I remember all too clearly the horror of the 1970 qtr final defeat to W Germany, after being 2-0 up on 70 minutes. It remains the single most painful for me all these years later, and perhaps was the baseline for the next 50 years.
On your point about club rivalries impeding the national effort: the FA realised there was some sort of underlying malaise by the mid to late 70s. In this period, Liverpool - then populated mainly by English players, Emlyn Hughes et al - were dominant at home and in Europe. We experimented for a shorth while by cramming the national team with Liverpool players, But this was soon abandoned.
Hello, my friend, seems we are roughly of the same age. Sorry, a German speaking here. The Wembley final in 1966 was the very first most important football match I ever watched at the age of 8. It was quite exciting, abeit I barely understood what it was all about and what it really meant. After the match we, the boys of the block re-played the game between some garages with a tennisball, haha. And, yes, the 3:2 in the heat of Mexico has always been a highlight for us, but even more important was the 3:4 defeat against Italy in the semi-finals. I think the first German victory a t a l l against England was a 1:0 in 1968 in a friendly in Hannover. Until then Eng vs. Ger normally ended 8:3, 5:1 or 6:2 if not even worse ( from the Ger perspective). From the Mexico WC on you could have called me a football fanatic too. After the Italy-Brazil final I calmed down significantly, we wouldnt stand a chance against Brazil, no doubt about it. Anyway, after all those years and decades the question remains why England actually didnt win a single trophy that counts. You can find many answers here or in discussions of the leading football pundits. I have to admit, I dont know. Three years ago I thought, well, they‘ve beaten us in Wembley which will set free enough energy to finally win the EC cup. I didnt doubt that for a second. But you know, we suffered a lot from the Italiens and they were always at their best when all odds were seemingly against them. So, terribly enough for England the unexpected actually happened. In my opinion, and that may surprise you, the German team will not go to the semi-finals this year. German football is seriously damaged since 2018 and at best recovery has only begun recently. England? In all honesty, I would like to see the EC, or even better, the WC trophy in the hands of your captain, believe it or not. But in my sixties now I think Football‘s just a game and life will go on, with or without the trophy in our hands.
@@lowersaxon Many thanks Thomas. You are correct about need for perspective and I of course should have said the 1970 match was my most painful memory associated with the England team. I would have been v lucky if the worst thing that happened to me in life was a football match 50 yrs ago:) You mentioned Hannover and from your user name I assume you are from thereabouts. I have great memoires of working in Hannover in 1988.
Bro got a beef with arsenal 😂
If England 🏴 aren't any good like some commenters are saying, why is it that English football has done very well at club level being the 2nd most successful clubs in European club competitions and also England's youth teams have done very well in recent years winning 2 youth World Cups (the under 20 and under 17 ones) and last year England under 21s won the Euros.
saying that the Premier League has never been conquered by an English coach in its history, then talking about 1966 is a bit misleading, considering the Premier League era only started in 1992. An English manager won the top division the year before with Leeds, nevermind legendary English managers like Brian Clough or Bob Paisley.
Not really misleading when it’s a fact.. the PL hasn’t been won by an English manager 🤷♂️
@@YourFootballZone I mean it’s technically true but it implies a lot more that “they’ve never won the premier league in history” then “never won the top division since 1992”, especially when 1966 is brought up the next second. The premier league is just the same top flight of English football, the difference being that it was broadcasted on television, so I don’t understand the obsession people have with saying stuff based on it being since the “premier league”.
Exactly, it skips from 1966 straight to 1992. To be fair the England teams of the 70s & 80s were dreadful beyond belief, I remember Euro 80 being particularly bad. People often forget the English teams were dominating European football from the mid 70s to mid 80s. However the national team were utter shite during that period. The 82-85 period England was god awful.
England have won the Euro in 2022 ... just not the boys ...
huh?
@@YourFootballZone Oh come on, now you're just being mean ... The ladies won the final against Germany.
They need to be able to beat big teams when it matters most. England have done well in recent tournaments because they played teams that were not that good or not as good as they use to be like Germany in the last Euro or teams at the level of Colombia or Senegal. I do think England will do well this Euro hopping they win cause I'm English and I've never seen England win a single tournament in my lifetime. I also do believe that luck wasn't on our side in crucial moments like the last Euro or World cup. They need to be able to beat the big teams without going to penalties or even Extra time for that matter. Look at Argentina for example they scrapped by and suffered to win a world cup even with Messi and all they’re talented players. However in crucial moments Messi stepped up , Martinez rose to the occasion or the other players raised they’re game.
I hope they don't win lol,I want to see how insufferable is their media and fans
You want a team to fail because of something else you don't like?
Because we lose too teams like Iceland and an Italy with an average age of 76
Italy is the owner of England in tournaments... they are just the better football country
You've said it yourself. England in knockout games are likely to lose against any team, whether it's geriatric, average or simply too good.
It's an elegant combination of self-sabotage and bad luck.
England are the Spurs of national teams.
We are cursed, especially with penalties but I'll always get behind England at every tournament even though it can be painful.

Seeing England fail again and again usually was great fun to watch. At these Euros it is so deadly boring that you wish for it (the"team") coming home asap.
😂😂
Every year we get to here how great the English team is and how they should be feared and then we can’t wait for them to lose
Fair 😂
Been watching England in majjor tournament's since 1982, because we failed to qualiry in 1974, and 1978. Every tournament, other nations, and their players have said they fear England.
Our History is littered with disaster, serial Penalty shoot out defeats, the hand of God, going out undefeated from two group stages, the Lampard goal that wasnt given, Sol Campbell's two disallowed goals, the Beckham sending off......
A lack of decent Brithish management is the main issue. Years ago, England had a great selection of English managers to pick from the only problem was they would always pick the safe hands instead of the most talented and astute mangers. Imagine picking Ron Greenwood over Brain Clough and Roy Hodgson over Harry Redknapp or anyone at all, really. So again, England has a talentless manger with all the charisma of a dead tortoise leading some of the most talented players in the world to inevitable and totally embarrassing defeat. When will the F.A of Englad get tired of this shameful and tedious mediocrity. Maybe when they do, they will get a seriously talented manager for England. Jugen Klopp needs a hobby 🤔
The English FA could go after any manager in the world, regardless of nationality, pretty much since the beginning of its existence.
Your answer makes no sense.

Yeah, that's cos it's not muppet friendly.
It wasnt ‘god forbid rashford goes to party’ it was the moment and occasion of it. He didn’t give a shit about his piss poor performance nor played for the badge. That is literally why he wasn’t targeted
tbf southgate is playing your tactics and everyone is hating it
Is winning the group good enough given the performances? 🤔
It’s pretty simple, international tournaments are a knock out competition. Any bad luck or one bad game your out.
Well obviously.. but a nation like England should have at least won the competition by now
@@YourFootballZone Not necessarily, only one nation can win the tournament. They only come round every two years, I always thought if international tournaments were played in a league format England would have won more. It doesn’t really have anything do with hype or the media, other nations do exactly the same. The Spanish for example had players who hated each other and their media is worse than ours. They still had 4 years of success.
@@businesssecretsofthepharao8901 hmm there’s still been plenty of opportunities to win tournaments. Spain have 1 WC & 3 EUROs, Italy have 4 WC & 2 EUROs, France 2 WC & 2 EUROs, Germany 4 WC & 3 EUROs. England are consistently ranked amongst the top 5 nations in the world yet are still stuck on 1 WC from 1966. Will see what this year brings anyway
@@YourFootballZone Of course there have been opportunities to win it, but that’s where the luck part comes in. Spain won 75% of their trophies in a 4 year spell. Germany historically have been like Real Madrid in the way they are not the best team at the tournament but find a way to win it, Italy’s trophies are sporadic and usually by being superb defensively. There have been some very very poor England performances over the years, but sometimes your luck just isn’t in.
Has nothing to do with luck
England were hosts in 66’ it was as much a fluke as Greece winning the Euros when they hosted. England are not one of those elite footballing nations. They have the strongest league filled with players and managers from all over the world, and it is by far the wealthiest league, but this is no divine right to trophies. England are perennial underachievers who feel as if they are in the same conversation as Brazil Argentina Germany Italy France and Spain. England are on par with the Netherlands as far as tournament legacy. If a sense of entitlement and a false sense of superiority won trophies Englands cabinet would be full.
Greece didn’t host Euros in 2004. Portugal did
At least I got to see England win the World Cup.
Really? How old were you when you saw this and did you attend the final?
@martinranalli8572 I was ten years old, and on holiday in our caravan in the Lake District , when the final was being played.
We didn't have a TV , but luckily had made friends , with a family that did.
All the kids played football every day after this.
@@kimbirch1202 Ok. Unfortunately it was before I was born. How do you think England 🏴 will do in this summer's tournament? Do you think we will win?
@martinranalli8572 I don't have any expectations of England any more.
And anything can happen in a tournament, such as injuries, luck, bad refereeing decisions, etc.
As long as England play good football, and at least reach the semis, I would be happy, although of course I would want them to win the trophy.
I’m 60 & still waiting…..i only remember collecting the Esso coins as a 5 yr old with older brother in 1970 & because we didn’t have a tv throughout the 1970s it took until the game against France in 82 that i got to see them actually play in a WC !
The World Cup was a gift to promote the tournament but no gifts in the Euros.
England needs to be more humble.
Nowadays England has the talent pool (still not sure whether its comparable to France, Germany or Brazil) but they can be successful if they can get a good manager
Would argue that England have always had multiple top players at any given time. There are multiple reasons as we identified but a winning manager could be the answer for sure!
In Germany they argue which generation of world cup winners was the best, the 54er that still had their best guys in pow camps and still won, the 74er with Beckenbauer who also won the euros 72 and 80, the 90s side with Matthaus and Klinsmann who also won it in England 96 or the 2014 gen of the modern way of playing. Bit sad to think they don't even have those discussions in England
Very true! It's almost who has been the best of a bad bunch even though England's players over the years have been incredible talents 😐
@@YourFootballZone Germany have won more trophies (7) than England have made SFs (6) 😮 They have more SFs (22) than England have KO wins (15) or QFs (18). How do you say in England? Mind the gap

it because after 66 theres no other team in the world can match how overated English FA is..
All the way to disappointment; I fail to understand how a team that has never won the trophy is considered a favorite.
They’ve lost a ridiculous amount of Penalty Shootouts.
Says they let the pressure get to them and are overwhelmed. They don’t have the mentality or the luck to ever win
Well, in 1966 Christmas came early. This year's championship was offered to England. They were heavily helped to defeat Portugal and reach the final. From the change of field to another city not respecting the initial draw, damaging Portugal to a goal from Eusébio that the referee didn't want to see.
Its simple if they want to win, they put HARRY KANE in the 70th min
you know the HARRY KANEs curse of trophy is also a factor
Good video, but wrong on one point. Hoddle was the best England manager we had since Ramsey. If he was allowed to continue in the role, instead of being hounded out of it by the crappy press, and those faceless mob who pick the England boss, we probably would have won something by now!
England have yet to win the Euros because they haven't met the criteria of both reaching and winning any Euros final.
Obviously lol..
I think the difference is the British are quite a sociable as we love or pubs and social clubs compared to other nations. I love how the Germans see taking a penalty as a great honour where with the English we’re petrified that we’ll end up in a Pizza Hut commercial. Plus we have very good players but also our education system crushes any trace of individuality out of people that’s why we end with bland leaders like Sunak , Starmer and Southgate. Come on England! 🏴
Jordan Pickford has been great for England! no don't play both saka on each wing, Foden is shit on the wing and it is a waste. Southgate has brought team spirit to England, that he learned from Euro 1996, the only thing he does wrong is he waits way too long for subs.
2 bad things for England.
1.) If they have to face France they need to play against Mbappé. And he simply would tear their "decent" defense apart together with Griezmann. And a medioker goalie as Pikford isn't able to stop those 2. Remember last world cup Mbappé made a hattrick in the final. He was the first player ever to make a hattrick in a world cup final.
2.) It's to bad for the people of England Haaland choose to play for Norway instead of England. Because he also have the English citizenship. Because he was born in Leeds when his father was playing for Leeds United.
put pep in charge you win everything southgates a choclate watch
No they will probably get to quarters and bottle it
It's the 3 lions song which is the curse!!! The micro millisecond people start playing that song prior to the event starting... IT'S OVER! (but it is now!)
Cant blame southgate. When you appoint a championship level manager to manage the national team, this is what happens
So who is to blame then? The FA?
"Cursed" or actually "knocked out when they deserve to be by teams better than them"
England FC is like Tottenham
England have the the Spurs Curse
Whilst Harry Kane is in the squad, England won’t win 😂
The english game is considerably richer than ANY other in the world 🤑.
Love you too. But not enough to like or subscribe. Peace ✌️
Pickford has been amongst the 5 best goalkeepers in each major international tournament since 2018.
Can you remember the last time one of his supposedly recurrent big mistakes led England to a loss or even to a draw in a tournament ? Yeah, me neither cause it has not happened in any important game.
Just recognize that you don't fancy him as serious, clean and "meta-football" enough to play the number one role. He's probably too energetic for your liking and he also dares to gain time ( wow ).
He's the perfect scapegoat of England's failures since he never played for a big club and apparently never has raised big interest from Real or Bayern hencewhy nobody will take it personnaly if he's constantly being talked down by any pundit or fan in the world.
And if you wonder why I've wrote such a long comment, the reason is fairly simple : I'm a man of principles and I do hate ungratefullness above everything especially when it's combined with herdlike mentality of the critical with the "officially weaker" and deluded with the big stars or fan's favorites.
And to wrap it all up, I'm not even english, mate ! Haha.
Chill out bro 😂 we like Pickford. As mentioned in the comments, it’s just that other keepers were in better club form but Gareth still chose Pickford
To be fair we got Saka on the right and Foden on the left like you wanted, and were shite
Time to drop Kane? 🤔 Gordon to start LW..
Using the term "Golden generation" while speaking about English media hype for the players is nothing short of insane. All these players shine in their clubs but it's not them carrying the clubs, it's players from other countries. Even a managerial heavyweight like Fabio Capello couldn't get them to a semifinal. And let's not forget that national teams from other countries back then were also stacked with quality players. It's not like England were a team of superstars and other countries could just pick nobodies. The vast majority of English players are by far not as good as they are made to believe by the media.
And then there is the mentality and England clearly lacks the right mentality. What do you think happens in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Netherlands and France if their national teams play poorly? They are also being heavily criticized but they don't moan and whine about that and instead they put effort into bouncing back and often enough they succeed. On a side note I want to come back to the term "Golden generation". This term is usually being used by countries that have won little or nothing and at some point have an exceptional collection of players that might do something meaningful. Bulgaria and Romania mid 90s were examples, Portugal around the 2000s with Figo and Rui Costa, Czech Republic or Belgium in recent years. England is the only World Cup winning country that uses such a term. No other current or former World Champion does that. Maybe that's a hint that people might hope but do not actually believe.
Could argue that Saka has been Arsenals best player last couple seasons and Palmer was definitely Chelsea’s best player last season. But get your point. Think England fans would rather see exciting football that utilises the players than boring defensive football we are seeing this tournament. Will see what tomorrow brings 🤷♂️
Meanwhile, the Women's and youth teams:
Can do some videos on women’s/youth if that’s what people want..
Well all I hope one day we can bring a trophy home all we need to do is wait for Italy France and Germany
to get knocked out in the early stages like the round of 16 or quarter finals or semi finals then
we have done it Portugal and the rest of the teams won't be a treat for us come on England
Haven’t even reached a final when the tournament has been played on foreign soil.
So, to sum up 2028 likely to be England’s best chance to win a Euros assuming the final is played at Wembley.
Out in the quarter finals according to the AI. Will only scrape through the group. Hexed mentality. No body on the right wing - blame the Premiership. Unbalanced league unbalanced England. Impossible to square the circle. But the English were always anti intellectuals anti theory in all things. Neatherlands will do far better. Total football coming back? Neatherlands beats France in the final according to the AI. Different level.
the writing is already on the wall lucky not to lose to Serbia,Denmark and slovenia.narrowly avoided the Netherlands to be playing Slovakia instead.something dramatic is going to have to change but so far, unlike Spain,Germany and possibly France if they qualified,England do not look like possible finalists.mind you, they didn't in the previous tournament and amazingly they made the FIFA world cup semi final.i'm even dreading Slovakia on Sunday!hard luck lads!
Gona lose
Avoiding Netherlands to get Slovakia hasn’t filled us with any hope tbh 😂
England cheated the one World Cup that they think they won. You’re just not good enough. I heard Talk Sport say that Kane is the best player in Germany and Bellingham is the best player in Spain. There’s your answer, you overrate yourselves. Football is a Latin game.
Why? A combination of bad luck, lack of attention to detail and other teams having players who know how to seize key moments.
England doesn't lack for talent and that's my take on their source of failure.
Ah England’s famous “Golden Generation”. The main reason they didn’t win anything under Sven was because it just so happened that loads of other countries round that era ALSO had their own “Golden Crop” who happened to be better! Ronaldo & Figo on 🇵🇹 wings 🤤 Zlatan & Larsson upfront for 🇸🇪 🇩🇪 had Kahn, Klose, Ballack etc. 🇬🇷 In 2004 had some truly underrated players (Karagounis who was at Inter) that’s w/o mentioning Zidane behind Henry/Trezeguet! 🤩 at 🇫🇷 I don’t even have to explain 🇮🇹 Do I?
very true.. that was some era of talented players. What could've been had Lampard's goal against Germany hadn't incorrectly been ruled a no goal 🤷♂️
Nah Spain would’ve dissected us anyway. 2010 Xavi & Iniesta would’ve just been cancelling us out like Pirlo 2012.
@@simontravers2715 yeah fair point. If we don't win this, is it time for Southgate to move on? And if so, who takes the job? Seen something yesterday for somebody calling for Klopp haha
You missed out the bit when the Lionesses won the Euros.
Our channel covers men’s football but if some fans want us to comment on women’s then we could consider that
And also England's youth teams have done well in international competitions.
@@martinranalli8572 some of the youth players from recent tournament successes are now playing in the senior squad 🔥
Do one for the Netherlands
Wouldn't be able to title it the same as they won it in 1988. What video do you want to see for the Netherlands?
@@YourFootballZone they never won the world cup
@@JamesWon6 what are you talking about 😂 this video is about the EUROs and you asked us to do one for the Netherlands who won the EUROs in 1988..
bro pickford has been amazing this season everton had the 4th best defence this year only top 3 teams had better
yeah true Everton had a solid defence this year but the point was that in previous tournaments, other keepers had been in better form yet Southgate stuck with Pickford
yea i agree
Eventually England would win it. It's a matter of when
No team spirit. Rampant egos. Overpaid.
Home?
Going?
That's why
Yup! 🥱
England are not entitled to win anything just because they put out a team in a competition. I'll ask you a question, if England had Pep or Carlo or Jose or Mancini or the French manager or Sir Alex or Wenger or Eddie Howe or Angelos "Ange" Postecoglou as our manager would we have a much better chance of winning the tournament? No reply needed.
Did you purposely miss Klopp from that list 😂
@@YourFootballZone No, sorry, up there with Pep.
I think england would have gone on to win euro 2004 had Sol Campbells perfectly good goal not been disallowed by the referee.
The irony of you calling out an abusive press and then you criticising the players and manager certainly hasn't been lost 🤦♂
Looks like we've unintentionally joined the ranks of the press! Time to tread carefully..
Top marks for that reply! Still an awesome video with some excellent points :) ❤
@@robertharper1307 glad you enjoyed mate 🙌🏼
IT'S COMING HOME......
IT'S COMING HOME......
HURRIKANE IS COMING 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Managers and Iceland that’s why
The only thing they won was the 1966 WC which they basically fixed.
Can you make a video on why India is terrible at football?
😂😂
