my mom passed away in 2017 and this song reminds me of her. So beautiful and sad at the same time.

I have yet to ever get through the song without crying, and it's definitely still my favorite xmas song -- the composition and everything is soooooo beautiful, it literally reminds me of like a hundred great songs (not xmas songs, just great songs) all at once -- a great example of what I call "phantom nostalgia" while remaining wholly original and fresh.
