Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino - Is it Still the Premier Hotel to Stay in Cebu?

- The Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Lahug Cebu City is one of Cebu’s largest and iconic hotels. Built in 1998 with 561 guestrooms it has been charming tourists to Cebu for over 25 years. Once the premier hotel to stay in Cebu does it still hold onto that crown?
The Waterfront Cebu has some fantastic food options. From its Uno Restaurant which has a reputation for being one of the best buffets in Cebu. To La Gondola (Italian), Tin Gow (Chinese), Madeleine (French) and Muzi (Japanese) and the Lobby lounge.
For fitness they have a great gym and they also have an outdoor pool.
Rooms are a bit tired looking but still provide comfortable stays. For rates at the Waterfront Cebu check their website or your favourite 3rd party booking site like TripAdvisor, Agoda or Booking.com.

Take your hat off when you are inside a nice building .
I am one of the servers at Waterfront and this video made me proud! Thank you
You can be proud - the staff at The Waterfront is World Class. London-Paris-Cebu.
Really great staff there! Keep up the good work!
Yeah they are really great!
Is your managment aware of extremely outdated rooms and is there renovations coming soon?
Thanks Rob for the Waterfront Museum tour 🤣🤣
No worries 😂Hope you learnt how they lived in the old days!
Not bad decor in those rooms for 1975 or early 80’s tops. It’s sad to see such a nice hotel with casino and it’s awesome location failing on maintenance or complete renovation to its large rooms 😢
It was opened in the late 90s. I remember talking to one of the workers a number of years ago and they did have plans to renovate the rooms. Covid happened and everything in the tourism industry was put on hold. Now that the NuStar is open there's some serious competition at least at the high end market. I don't know if you saw my other video on this hotel/casino but it miles better. See here ua-cam.com/video/JWqxaYKULmE/v-deo.html . Waterfront really needs to look into revamping itself for sure in the near future.
God bless us start and end your day with our ALMIGHTY GOD. THANKS
Same to you!
Fax machines are often required for banking purposes. They provide more security. Seems odd but is true.
Take care.
Yeah I was only joking.
Design is more 90s needs more improvement as more new hotels become more innovative . But everything is else is good .
Yeah long over due for a make over - at least the rooms.
How much rate per room. Single
I put the rates in the video.
I’m hearing recent reviews that it’s turning in to a dump
I wouldn't say it's a dump. But it could do with a bit more tlc.
Is it me or do all the most beautiful women in cebu work in the hotels .
I know right! It's a marketing ploy to get us to spend more!
Food too expensive
Yeah it's on the pricer side.
@@FindingParadise only went there once to eat with my niece...I was shocked by the bill. Flashy toilets though..🙄
No.
Not in a long time.
Actually, never been.
And never will be.
Unless they get their sh!+ together and actually spend some of their revenue on renovation and training.
It was but that's not saying much. Back then there wasn't much competition. Definitely needs some tlc now. Hopefully after the lockdowns and tourism picking up they'll use the tourist dollar back into the hotel.
It’s been like that long before the pandemic.
Last I checked in there, almost a decade ago (never returned), the rooms were filthy. Everything’s broken and old. The TVs were old school CRT type 📺 😱
The owners of that chain (yes, there are many) are the family of some really rich politician. A senator. They’re into mining (quite controversial lately), and I heard from friends in the industry to be quite shady.
They’re not short on cash. No reason to be stingy on the upkeep, unless they really just don’t care.
Makes me think the theory is true. They just use it for money laundering. Quite convenient especially that it has a casino.
For now, avoid at all cost.
Head to Marco Polo instead. Or some newer ones nearby.
Cheers, Well at least they upgraded the TVs! Anyhow I do think the Marco Polo is a better option as well!
