  • The great Indian epics have influenced our culture and classical art forms in many ways. The Ramayana album tells the story of Lord Rama’s triumph over evil through various Carnatic compositions rendered by T.M Krishna and Sangeetha Sivakumar. T M Krishna is among the most accomplished of Carnatic vocalists and is known for his resonant voice and strict adherence to classicism. Sangeetha Sivakumar is a much respected musician in the field of Carnatic music. Her music is known for its crispness, clarity of thought and presentation. This composition is Janakiramana in Ragam Kapi, Talam Adi.

Thank you,for announcing, that Rama was to try " to string the great bow of Shiva," rather than "break the bow" as is mistakenly mentioned in many of the treatises. Incidently, the bow did break, but not intentionally !
