I wish these units weren’t so heavy on a million different overdriven shred sounds. I’d like a wider variety of interesting sounds that were more creative and not just more overdrive that all runs together.
Totally non-gear related but I've watched a bunch of your videos guys and this is the first time I've noticed the 'Jesus will return' sticker hidden in plain sight. Big fan, love it :)
haha thanks. Thats a bit of an inside joke, my dad found it at a garage sale and a friend fixed it up for me. Its a tiny 4.5w amp from an old Australian company
I think Zoom needs to redesign the g6 to make it more compact. Actually, they can put every information on whether you are in effect board mode/memory mode directly on the screen instead of that nonsense list LED word panel. I mean, if they remove the word panel, they can put another 4 footswitches in it and add more versatility. But if it's only 4 footswitches in a row, the size could be more compact. They used to be good enough when designing the g3n and g5n, right?
Can you use your existing pedal board with it and change the signal chain? Can it be used with a real vintage amp that doesn't have an effects send/return? if so will the delay and chorus effects work OK?
it's like it's 2021 again (when the Zoom G6 was released). I like Zoom, but they're falling behind in the guitar modeling space IMO. Cheaper Chinese offerings sound better and do more (e.g., Mooer Prime S1 pr P2; I have / own both)...for the price you're halfway to a Line 6 HX-Stomp
you were way to non-chalant about too many technicalities. you can do better. if you are going to do something, do it right the first time. maybe, next time.
Nice to have a more recent review of this ❤. Sounds good guys.
Its amazing how it just has that Zoom sound. That whammy sounded quite decent.
This doesn’t sound bad! Change some IRs and you’ll be good to go! Or if you using an amp of your choice it’ll be fine! Easy interface.
Absolutely

Speaking of something being hidden in plain sight, your username begins with a German word and ends in "88".
Effects sound good, but the amp sims sound a bit like the previous generation of modellers.

Does it have a good preamp? I like to connect the pedalboard to the Send/Return of my Peavey Bandit 112
A preamp should not be necessary in a buffered effects loop.
Plastic multifx units are a nonstarter for me. I don't want to feel flex from a thing I have to step on to use, don't care if we call it carbon fiber.
Plastic build is a no for me!

@@chrisx742 wrong again as usual, Chrissy. At least you're consistent; embrace your failure.
I have zoom g6. Fairly great but the reverbs are so weak and sound small. I might get a dedicated reverb pedal. The amp and IRs usable.

What technicalities was I nonchalant about?
