This is the most interesting way to review a product as every specification these days are already top notch. We don’t need them numbers anymore, what we need is the EXPERIENCE 🔥
The problems I have with the Pixel6 is that I can't transfer all my previous Whatsapp msgs from my old phone and when I go to my gallery, it goes straight to my Google photos first, which is a bit annoying
Awesome vid, love the pixel 6. Got it for my work phone. I do most of the ordering at my job for various tech equipment and accessories we may need, I never order anything for myself. Until the pixel 6 and coming from an iPhone XR which was AMAZING for work, I feel that pixel 6 is just so refreshing to use daily that I don’t miss iOS. Android 12 is simply beautiful.
@@emonparvez3459 I’m afraid it’s not all good news, the software is phenomenal but the hardware is horrendous. For some reason Google chooses to use Samsung exynos modems in Pixel 6 and up. The reception is horrible. I even upgraded to the Pixel 7a and had the same connectivity issues I did with the 6. Sadly I went back to iPhone. Do some research before buying any of the Pixel line up including the 8 series.
From a person that never had an interest in New York city, your videos make me want to visit so bad! My wife would love you for this lol great video man, hope the holiday season is good to ya!
I've had it for a couple weeks now. The battery is fine with at least up to moderate use. I use it pretty regularly for average use cases; podcasts, browsing the web on the couch, photos, laying in bed watching youtube. I'm usually ending the day around 60-70%. I've had days where I felt like I did nothing and ended at 20%, so it varies based on the types of tasks you're doing and if there are any updates going on. Also worth noting that I'm on WiFi 95% of the day.
Apologies if this has been mentioned. At 11:27 the pronunciation for "spaghetti alla chitarra" is slightly off. "Chitarra" is italian for guitar and is pronounced "kee-tar-ah". A "ch" in front of "e" or "i" hardens the "c" sound in italian. Excellent video as always; all the best for 2022.
6 just came on sale, watched a few videos to justify the purchase, yours being one of the ones I always go to. Like your style and information to the point. Purchased the 6, cheers.
I think Google's Wait On Hold For You, Call Screen, and the transcribe info from automated recordings are the most useful things a Pixel does. I absolutely love these features and these are the kinds of things they should be running commercials for. I was just talking about the hold one during Thanksgiving dinner and suddenly the whole table goes quiet and everyone is looking at me and asking it does what?!! 😆 You better believe if apple figures how and copies that, they'll be spamming commercials for it 24 hours a day like it's some new magic.
The only thing I would like to see is maybe an extra 1 minute comparing a couple photos to competitors and what you like and dislike. Eg edge detection on portrait mode.
New subscriber here and I love the format. Product Review and mini travelogue in one. Awesome. I just purchased a new pixel 6 just days ago, moving from a nearly 5 year old, Android 9, LG G6. Wow! Still getting used to the pixel. But I love it! Thanks for all the information and destination suggestions from one of the greatest cities in the world.
Your channel popped up from a Pixel 6 search and Bam! What a great review style you have, awesome :) Plus great views of New York. I'm ideally looking for the telephoto ability, but maybe I don't really need it for the extra £££. Nice one
At first when I got the Google Pixel 6 the battery was pretty good. Now it's freaking excellent!!! That adaptive battery is something special. I'm getting almost 8 hours of heavy use out of this phone. I've had pixels from the Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 4 XL to my Pixel 6 and the adaptive battery feature has always been incredible. I honestly think these reviewers should give it a chance first then just judge it right from the beginning. It has a beautiful display and a awesome set of cameras. Water resistance, wireless charging, and flagship specs sounds like a pretty good deal for $599 if you ask me.
Been waiting for this review and video. Once again a stellar video and a very helpful review. Think my Android experience will be through the Pixel 6 now I’ve seen this. Thanks a lot David, and thanks for the coffee shop views, added to list of possible places to visit. 🤙🏾
Magnificent! Great tour, as always, and a Big Thank You for validating my decision to go Pro, despite the fact I would have preferred the size of the 6. Every one of your groups of four shots showed the 6 to be MORE than acceptable. Love the cases, but I'm already covered. Sadly, have to admit I was the one at the start who said to himself "he changed his jacket" 😒 Great stuff "Cogen" (blame Fisher) - I definitely owe you a dinner next time I'm in NYC 😊
Awesome video - I just picked up an iPhone 13 Pro (partly based on your review), but if I were in Android world I'd probably spring for the Pixel 6 Pro, the telephoto lens and bigger screen would be worth the money. That said, the Pixel 6 is easily one of the best values in Android phones.
Android 12's adaptive battery feature is interesting. As a Pixel 3Axl user, I've noticed my battery life has gone from about 60% left at the end of the day to around 75-80% left at the end of the day since the upgrade to Android 12 and it's adaptive battery use. Somehow, it has learned how to make the battery better.
These never make any significant difference and I've been using this phone for weeks already. If you just use your phone differently than I do and it lasts you that's great! I'm just showing what happened when I was filming, I have no reason to lie or change anything 🤷♂️
@@TheUnlockr Pretty sure the original commenter was just speaking to his experience with his 3a XL, and _not_ trying to imply something was wrong or inaccurate about your review (which is great btw!)
I must be a very light user. I typically end my day with around 50% battery on my Pixel 6 Pro. I came from an iPhone X (recently replaced battery) and I would typically get through a day but with 20%-30% battery left. I have all of the bells and whistles turned on and I am happy as long as it gets me through the whole day.
Nice video. I just picked one up as they're on a sale and with approx £150 refund for trading in a 4a 5G, it means the 6 has cost about £300. For that price its a very strong value.
I can see what folks are saying about the video. All of the videos that I have taken from the main sensor on my Pixel 6 are stellar, but I have taken them in ideal conditions. If the lighting conditions are less than ideal, the video seems to get jittery and grainy.
Firstly, great video again! I have the Coral colour, and I love it! The customisation is a great feature, as is the voice to type software. The battery seems to be getting better as time goes by, due to the adaptive learning. I will have to disagree with you over the Magic Eraser, I think it's better than the Healing feature in Snapseed. The only minor issue is the fingerprint sensor could be a bit better, but I'm hoping the software update will sort that out. I have used the link you provided and purchased the Carbon fibre Solidsuit from Rhinoshield. It ships next week! Cheers!
I'm not discovering anything if I say that you are the best guy doing Tech Videos in the whole internet. They are so good, that a person having Iphone and that will always have Iphone (like me) will watch a whole review of a phone he'll never buy just because the video is so awesome. I want this fxxxx virus problems end to go again to see New York. Best regards from Madrid!!!
Personally, the better deal is the standard 6. Minus the telephoto and 120hz refresh rate, it does practically the same thing the Pro variant can do and at that price, it's a literal steal. Google went for the jugular IMO on that price and they really hit it out of the park. I bought one, and used it and it's a fantastic phone, but I ended up having to sell it to my friend because she was on a Pixel 2XL, and I got lucky getting this same day from Best Buy. I think I might get the pro variant however for that telephoto lens additionally. I like the framing on it and it does look relatively well in shots.
Yep, it’s competitive with the S21 and iPhone 13, while being significantly cheaper. Cleaner, simpler yet more customisable UI than either, great camera, better display than the iPhone and better updates than the Samsung. All at a price where it’s competing more as a step-up option for the Galaxy A series or iPhone SE shoppers.
Thanks from the UK 🇬🇧🙂 I changed from 12 Pro Max to Pixel 6 Pro, no regrets, I'm loving my 6 Pro, everything from amazing camera, better signal strength, works where my iPhone wouldn't, well pleased. Only thing I'd say is this, glass screen protectors stop the fingerprint scanner working most of the time, even after re scanning fingerprint. I put a slide on, re set fingerprints and no such problem anymore, far better than tempered glass in my opinion. I also have the Garmin Venu 2S watch which works great with the 6 Pro, (Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 didn't, sent it back)! Cheers... 👍🏻
Hi. Which network are you on in UK? Lots of people complain about signal strength!(usually in US) It's nice to hear that you have better reception on this phone
@@marcinlipski5414 hi, I'm with EE, I've had no issues with this 6 Pro at all and I did the December update. There's a big software update and fix coming from Google at the end of January, they delayed the update to make sure they fix all bugs, but none here, only thing I had was due to a glass screen protector the fingerprint failed, but as soon as I removed and put a slide on, it was fine and has been since, I do each finger twice and did them after I fitted the slide. 👍🏻🇬🇧🙂
Interesting way to review! New York's really nice and so is the phone. I watched on my Pixel 6 and I am happy with my purchase. I do have a battery pack just in case because every phone like my Samsung S21 and Samsung S10 and Google Pixel 4a 5g would run out of juice sometimes with heavy use. My Pixel 6 will last the entire day without plugging in to a battery pack if I'm not too bad with using UA-cam.
Excellent video. For vlogging do you think the 6 pro is worth the extra? Is the selfie camera on the 6 pro usable for vlogging? The 6's one doesn't look good in this video. I can get the 6 for £200, or pro for £300. Which would you choose? I might use an action camera anyways, etc. Thanks in advance.
In lieu of swiping down on the rear fingerprint scanner to check your notifications, you can set a double tap of the back glass to do the same thing (on the 6).
It is sad that Google's Magic Eraser is not planned to come to older Pixel phones at this time. Folks that have sideloaded it prove that the feature works well on the Pixel 5 or even the Pixel 4a. It takes a little longer to process, but the output is much the same. I guess what makes this even worse is that Samsung brought Samsung Object Eraser to any Galaxy device that has OneUI 4.0. From what I can see, the differences between Object Eraser and Magic Eraser is negligible.
I think it's really weird because I have Pixel 6 (unlocked on AT&T) and I have had zero problems with battery. Maybe I'm not as heavy on it or because I use my car a lot with a wireless charger but it's been great.
Still weighing if I go with the regular 6 or the pro. I want the seafoam color but since both are already big devices to begin with, a part of me is telling me to just go all out with the pro.
David nice job the Google Pixel series seems nice good phone only thing is the battery life on both which is surprising .also NYC is so cool with its shops and architecture got to go back one day
Hey Bro, im your new subscriber from the Philippines. I would like to as you if interms of a camera which is better iphone11 or pixel 6? (Video and photo)
Excellent video as usual. I have both variants and find them great in everyday use. I probably get around about 2 days off of both. I find that the six is a bit longer battery-wise and that's with moderate use. Maybe sometimes a little heavy but definitely lasts a long time on Wi-Fi. Cameras are pretty good on both. I don't know if it's me, but I think they get better as you go along. Maybe it's just me usage-wise and also I think the adaptive learning helps with the battery to a point because from the first week they were both terrible but now after 3 weeks or more they are brilliant or four weeks actually. And yeah I think it works much longer and much better on Wi-Fi I suppose that the fingerprint for me has always been good 95% of the time. Once in a while it might glitch out and not allow me in but that's ok. The only downside I was about to say is the fact that on 5G I use it for a half an hour the other day (the pro variant) and lost around about 5% in 20 minutes. So little bit of work to be done on whilst using 5G but once the phone locks back into 4G then that also seems to calm things down and pretty much pretty good. But overall no regrets coming from the P30 Pro.I would recommend both. Cheers
hey i want to switch from a mate 20 pro and im a little bit worried about their charging speed how long does it take for them to be fully charged ? thank you
@@imadaz1 it takes between an hour to an hour and a half to go from zero to 100%. Wireless might be just a tad quicker for some reason. I usually wait until I've got about 2% left. Doesn't bother me as I have two handsets. Apparently the 7 is better in terms of charging and battery life. I'll wait for the 8 now.
Awesome video as always!! Currently rocking the pixel 4 right now. I like it alot. Especially the size. Do you feel would be a huge upgrade in what you get going to the standard 6?

I think it's really weird because I have Pixel 6 (unlocked on AT&T) and I have had zero problems with battery. Maybe I'm not as heavy on it or because I use my car a lot with a wireless charger but it's been great.
Never said there's a problem just isn't as good as the competiton or last year's models but it's fine
Lovely video! which external mic would you recommend with Google Pixel 6?
That iron building reminds me of the spiderman newspaper building
Still weighing if I go with the regular 6 or the pro. I want the seafoam color but since both are already big devices to begin with, a part of me is telling me to just go all out with the pro.
I wish to try Pixel phones for so long but not available in the shop in Malaysia. As usual great review.
Thank you!
David nice job the Google Pixel series seems nice good phone only thing is the battery life on both which is surprising .also NYC is so cool with its shops and architecture got to go back one day
Thank you!
Cheers
hey i want to switch from a mate 20 pro and im a little bit worried about their charging speed
how long does it take for them to be fully charged ?
thank you
@@imadaz1 it takes between an hour to an hour and a half to go from zero to 100%.
Thanks so much! And yeah I think coming from the 4 would be a good upgrade
Would you recommend this over the regular iPhone 13 or s21??
I'm just not sure yet if I'm upgrading to the 6? I think I'm going to wait and see what the 6a has to offer. As always, another stellar Real-World Test. Always, always enjoy your reviews with a hot cup-✔
Thanks for watching it!
