Lots of comments here poking fun at Alfa quality and reliability. These had electrical issues in the early model years, but since 2019 have been ridiculously solid/reliable vehicles. I have a 2019 that's had 0 service issues. The powertrain, even from early versions, has proven very reliable as well.

What a beauty. I got the 2.0 Giulia and I love everything about it. I have a 2020 and it’s been reliable as heck, just standard maintenance. I initially was shopping around for a 3 series vs a Giulia. After test drives and the fact that at every corner there’s a 3 series, I chose the better handling, more unique on the road Giulia. If I didn’t have a baby on the way 9 months ago I would’ve saved for a Quadrifoglio. Maybe next time!

MY QV is a 2018. I am the original owner. Car currently has 56K miles. No engine issues at all. The following are my issues: 1) dashboard was replaced as the leather pulled away from the speakers. Happened at 40K and was covered under warranty. 2) Corsa tires are great when it is 80+ degrees and dry. Under 50 degrees they are hockey pucks. I daily the car and use winters tires from October -March. With that said I have gone through 3 sets of tires totaling about 5K with labor and tax. 3) Maintenance is expensive. However, I knew that going in. Watch out for the accessorial drive belt which needs changing every 35-40K miles (max 4 years if mileage isn't hit). This service averages 3K. 4) Lastly, the HK audio will rattle and vibrate the speakers depending on the settings above 20 on the volume. I absolutely love the car. However, given the maintenance costs I would say if you can't buy it new you shouldn't buy it used.

@@andy500w The car has been extremely reliable. However, I am the original owner and performed all the maintenance intervals. I have two sets of wheels. One with summer and one with winter tires. I have replaced the rear winters two times in 5 years for a cost of about $950 installed each time. The summer rears have been replaced two times for about $1K each time with the OEM Pirellis. The original front summers have been replaced once for $950. Total tire cost over 5 years is roughly $4,850. Drive belt with oil change at 36K miles was 2.5K. Average yearly oil change is about $750 per year. Spark plugs require replacement every 30K and cost about 1K. All together I estimate I have paid about 12K over 5 years for tires a maintenance or about $200 per month for maintenance. In regards to whether the car is worth it......YES. They are fast, good looking, great handling, and rare. You never see these cars on the road. However, like anything, the novelty can wear off real quickly if the expense of owning it becomes a problem. Rather than enjoying car, it will become a reminder of a bad decision. For me, I am extremely happy with my decision. I really feel badly for those who passed on this car. The Giulia QV will most likely be the last ICE engine from Alfa ever. I am thankful I took the jump. I suspect this car will be highly coveted by collectors in the next 20 years.

The Giulia looks better than all its competition still and is a cool brand. Also the interior screen is not tacked on to the dash like on BMW and its compactness makes it better to drive. The fact it was developed by ex Ferrari engineers and uses a Ferrari developed engine makes it for me a bargain and very different in personality to any German car or BMW in the way it drives. A person wanting a drivers car with passion would choose this. For the best media and hi tech gadgets then maybe a German car would be better.

I went with the Stelvio for a second time, (first was a 2019 QV, traded it for a BMW M2 Comp, to later realize the Alfa was so much better in handling and FEEL!) but went with the Stelvio again over the Giulia because of the AWD. For a car with this much unbridled power, the AWD system serves me well. This one I will not be trading, certainly a collectors item as the world “tries” to move away from ICE.

No issues since. Beware though, at 36k miles, spark plugs and Auxiliary timing belt is recommended to be replaced, and then again at 70k.
Needless to say, if you're not in an industry that makes middle class or above income, do not get this car.

My Giulias have been ultra-reliable as well. Wonderfull autos. Andrew H. Gantt II

Nice video! Funny enough I drove a manual Q (2017) today - loved it! Cannot understand why it got bad reps, totally normal gearbox with good feel, incl. some cool tricks. Maaaaybe the knob itself could be slightly smaller, thats it.. Prob the ”youtube-community” rather badmouth than whine about not getting it?
What I don’t like is the un-tiltable seats, altho you could add spacers at the front mounts I guess. Much like older rwd Alfa’s like the 75, the seat cushions seem too horisontal.

Good job Mr. Presenter, that triangular shield is known as the "Scudetto" which means "little shield" in Italian and the Alfa Scudetto is so iconic to the brand identity! Just thought I'd throw that out there as an FYI. Forget the green, BRING BACK "TROFEO WHITE" and "ROSSO COMPATIZIONE" I had a 2018 Giulia QV in Trofeo White and it was the BEST car I've ever owned! Shoulda NEVER sold it! So I'm lookin' hard at the '24!. I KILLED two M3s in races on that long straightaway behind MCAS Miramar CA. Also killed a Subaru WRX with two Pinoy driving who kept pestering me on the 5 Freeway to "race". I didn't want to, but I had to put the smack down and teach dem Boyz a lesson!
