Hi. Couldnt agree with you more on pulling over when you can.. I remember working for a contractor in the westcountry (Devon) in the peak holiday season trailering silage, I used to pull over as I could do and let traffic pass, I got warned from my boss several times saying don't pull over let them wait, time is money he'd say....I totally agree with you and I stuck to what i thought, as I was the driver..he was an arse anyway...😁
She looks like she moves on down the road real well LM! Ran a JCB Many hrs here and dug many septic and drain fields with her lol amungst many foundations and such! ;-) in my day! Safe travels my freind!
When I did a bit of carting down in Cornwall, was travelling along a single carriageway section of the A30 for a couple of weeks, I used to pull in to every other layby as it was peak holiday season with very heavy traffic... my then boss pulled in behind me and bollocked me for doing so as it "wasn't getting the job done"... Needless to say I jacked that job in soon after along with various other things he bollocked me for (one was for sheeting up an overloaded trailer, as it was "wasting time"!!!)
Well said , we definitely need public support , the majority of use farmers do care . Thank you Kurt for helping get the message through 👍 . Great vid 😁
It's more of a case of getting the idiots away from you - you saw the guy shoot past then dive in and he had been behind me in a 30 mph zone for less than 10 seconds...
Back in the day I used to get up there baling with the 3050 and later the 4755 and that road to Baumber is a fking nightmare, there just isn't anywhere safe to pull off. The cues behind used to be horrendous !, they where always pleased to get passed thou as many used to give me a nice wave as they stormed passed !.
Sometimes there really is nowhere to pull over and that's that but I see more and more tractor drivers go past big lay-bys just because they think they are going at 100 mph...
When there is a queue of traffic behind a slow-moving vehicle is is more often than not caused by a car driver sitting behind the tractor/truck, not overtaking and sitting too close. This makes it harder for those who want to pass, as the obstacle is now longer and you need more space to make a safe pass. People say fast cars are dangerous, but I disagree - the safest car I had for overtaking was a 5-litre TVR Griffith - 320 horsepower and masses of torque mean you could pull out and pass and be back on the safe side of the road in a very short distance. My driving instructor told a 17 yr old me that you should treat every overtake you make as a potential head-on collision - sound advice!
Being possessed of a top speed of 18 mph and only regularly using nsl roads the traffic is passed and gone before I ever get chance to pull in. That said though when I am turning into gateways with transport box on the 3 point it really catches motorists out with the rear swing, I would hate to have something long like a plough on the back.
In inishowen (top of ireland) we have 3 types of motorists. 1 the locals know when to pass and when to wait on me to pull in. 2 the city driver who is used to 30mph and wont pass which is a dose. 3 the kamakaze deivers who pass on every blind turn goin.
You are so correct about UK tractor driver's consideration of other road users. I'm afraid this ignorant and arrogant behaviour is far too common especially this harvest. Indeed I'm afraid I know of some drivers who seem to delight in causing maximum delay!
The trouble is Dan that some tractor drivers seem to think 50k or 65k is like 100 mph - it's not - it's 35mph and about 44mph which is still not fast enough to keep up ahead of modern traffic on most major roads. There are more and more witch-hunts every time a tractor is involved in an accident with members of the public saying that tractors should be kept off the road during busy times. With the attitude of some small-minded individuals, this may become a reality.
That's when you have to use a bit of common sense Billy and just drive to the conditions of the road and traffic. That school run time is best avoided !
Good video being a tractor driving myself i see alot of fools on the road i must admit alot of drivers aint to bad but you always get a few inpatient drivers
Hi LM + another on drivers, tractors and plant on the road, ....... not that I condone it in anyway, but an old JCB driver I knew when I was a kid had a neat way of getting a car off his ass - he'd just ''knock'' the slewing lever EEEEEK! - THAT made em drop back ! Thanks for the vid and take care.
its rather funny about people like that, people complain about tractors being slow and annoying, then people complain about them going to fast! damn people need to make there mind up! ha
Good advice. I try not to even make eye contact with the ass hats and not even engage with them. Is driving tractors on the road from one site to another preferred over trailering?
Over here Don, yes because most journeys are only a few miles although some wallopers still think travelling by road for over an hour makes financial sense...
Great video and wise words. Was expecting this one as i saw the snapchats the day you videoed this. I see my fair share of cock-jockeys on the road when im in tractors. It drives me mad when im driving aa close to the edge od the road to let cars past and when the road is clear the car immediately behind me doesnt pass. This is inconsiderate on their behalf as it means the cars behind them have to pass that first car and then my whole outfit of 200hp tractor and silage rake or trailer or stonecart etc. They are the dangerous ones. Then they sit behind you on straight empty roads without passing but then try to pass on a blind corner etc. Silly cunts. And yes i do agree about pulling over. If i spend one, two minutes pulled over thats fine by me as i have less to worry about when theres no queue behind me. Anyway, best not get carried away as i could rant all day. Great video mate, keep them coming and keep the snapchat updates coming, don't be worried about polluting us with too many as i for one like to see what everyone else is up to every day.
Must catch up with you on this point. Are you aware that JCB has its own entry in the Oxford dictionary. It is the only piece earth moving equipment in the dictionary. It is said that every building site world wide has at one at least on JCB working
That's sound advice on pulling over to allow traffic to pass. Common sense and good manners cost nothing.....Just need to educate some caravaner's next ! :-)
Totally agree with you a little bit of manners on the road from both cars and machines goes along way. Like the new toy. You look at home in her.
She'll do a day Mickey...

It's a real nice machine Pard !
Those sort of people have never had an accident in their life but they've seen thousands in the rear view mirror 😄
Great topic Kurt, doesn't take but a moment to let them around and get away from you. Looking forward to the review of the 4CX. Enjoy your week.
Cheers Lloyd, have a great week, hope you're well.

Unfortunately you'll always get a handful of Arse Goblins within any industry and they are always the ones who cause grief for the rest of us.
Well said , we definitely need public support , the majority of use farmers do care . Thank you Kurt for helping get the message through 👍 . Great vid 😁
You look at home in that Kurt.....looks like a nice machine. I agree so much with your comments on driving, I've just got to bite my tongue lol
It's more of a case of getting the idiots away from you - you saw the guy shoot past then dive in and he had been behind me in a 30 mph zone for less than 10 seconds...
Same thing on the Nuffield, why I like the back roads if possible. Don't suppose you're going to Tillage Thursday?
Not a chance Malc, I've got a lot on this week and a lot of miles to cover !
Great machine great video

Good video chap, I completely agree with you that we all should pull over when we can and show that we aren't all ignorant plonkers.
It's just common sense - we get them out of our way and it promotes British Ag in a considerate light.

Same here mate.

And there is just certain roads at certain times you just can't pull in as you would never get out, buggers won't let you.
That's when you have to use a bit of common sense Billy and just drive to the conditions of the road and traffic.

Always just a handful of idiots that spoil it for everyone - other road users and the odd spaff monkey tractor driver.
Great advice
Have a great week Mike.

Haha !
Totally agree!
great video
Enjoy your vlog same as I always do. Did you go through Horncastle.?
I have to agree with what you said, some people these days just don't know how to drive!
They cause the congestion and accidents then the tractor drivers get the blame !
Great Vid. my friend, Did you say Arse Goblin's..I thought you did . I was rolling from laughing so hard..Take Care Kurt,Safe Travel's..
Haha yeh ! Glad you enjoyed it Cynthia, have a great week !

Just as a matter of interest which area in jolly old England are you?
At that point, Lincs.
its rather funny about people like that, people complain about tractors being slow and annoying, then people complain about them going to fast! damn people need to make there mind up! ha
Yep and you can be sure the same people complain about both issues !
Good advice. I try not to even make eye contact with the ass hats and not even engage with them. Is driving tractors on the road from one site to another preferred over trailering?

Cheers ! Yes the example I had behind me in the vid was a danger to everyone on the road.
Wow
Hello
Hello Steven.
Must catch up with you on this point. Are you aware that JCB has its own entry in the Oxford dictionary. It is the only piece earth moving equipment in the dictionary. It is said that every building site world wide has at one at least on JCB working
Yes it's like 'Hoover' being used for any vacuum cleaner
Car licenses out of lucky 🍀 bags ....
Some absolute dip 💩💩s ....shouldn’t even be allowed to steer a shopping 🛒 trolley...🤯
That's sound advice on pulling over to allow traffic to pass. Common sense and good manners cost nothing.....Just need to educate some caravaner's next ! :-)
You mean "Shed draggers"...
Oooh look I commented 'first' because so many people care
You can help yourself to jelly and ice-cream.
Lord Muck yayyy!!!
