Can we see what the outcome was for what you got paid for your scrap it's really interesting to know to me because I'm not a scavenger and I see how excited you get and I feel like one in your videos and adventure. Really addicted to your channel and videos Thanks.
This video was carnage, that dumpster was bonkers - and all your efforts trying to get the scrap out and the camera going everywhere :) Good going Mike.
Dude! You were like a rabid honey badger in a bee hive during a tornado! The dumpster that kept giving, holy crap! Some of them valves if not defective/broken are big money in reselling them. Total awesomeness Mike, the dumpster gods were smiling upon you. Awooo, y'all 👊👍🖖✌️
He constantly skips over valuable stuff, due to him having zero knowledge of the item he's looking at. Or he only considers the scrap value, and carelessly throws around stuff that could be worth a LOT more if sold intact.
I owned a pool hall for a few years and there was a family of low income who we helped by allowing them to get all of our pop cans. It was so sweet when the son came in one day and told me he found a ten-dollar bill in the parking lot. He was happy and it made me smile. I wonder how he is 25 years later.
Mike, I was a truck driver for over 20 years and I used to jump down from trailers and the truck cab and never thought too much about it. Now I'm 68 years old and suffered from back pain from L4/L5 herniated disc. I also have bone spurs growing on my spine and the hole the sciatic nerve runs through is closing up. I'm telling you this to let you know what your future is going to be like if you keep jumping off the trash cans. Debilitating pain. Wishing the best for you.
Hey Mike! At 22:10 there is a framed certificate with a light texas flag background right in front of your knees. That is a Texas Sales and Use License, a.k.a. business license. A business only trashes that if it is no longer in business, meaning everything must go someplace else. What you found makes me think it was a fluid controls salesperson, because I didn't see the same valve twice, there were several flange styles and classes and materials, and I saw electric, and pneumatic actuators, AND not a single one looked like it was used a single day, or even installed for that matter. Possibly over $10k worth of new valves and meters. I'd not be in too big a rush to scrap it all. I'd rather cut a good deal to someone who knows what they are and what they do and turn it into a win/win even more situation...hint hint. ; )
you know it would have made sense to pull the pickup right close to the side & as your getting the goods your putting straight into the back then your not handling the same things twice
I came here to ask that same question. After the second heavy item I thought he’d pull ole Dottie next to the dumpster and just fill er up strait from the bin. 🤷🏼♂️
@@MrLemaire1 tbh he did that with the first dumpster in this vid when he visited last month backed dottie up & just loaded up without tossing it straight onto floor mind you mike has replied to me stating he never expected to find what he did as the top 2 feet was dismantled cabinets which covered everything else up, we have the same dumpsters over here but the sad thing is they put them right in view of the security cameras so that you can be seen getting in them

I think Mike got Scrap fever when you realised the bottom of the bin was full of gold. Although I still think its a lot of work by the time its all cleaned up and sorted. It is a good hobby and exercise.
Miley came in like a wrecking ball But Mike comes in like a monsoon; suddenly, with gusto, full on for a short period of time before he moves on to do it again somewhere else close by, leaving things stirred up but not trashed! 👍😀😘
This dumpster was the bottomless pit of the scrappity scrap scrap scrap! I absolutely enjoy watching your videos! Dumpster diving and the open tops are the best out there 🛹🛴🚲🛻! Dottie's ready for the next load, lolololol
I'm 57. I did scrap for years in Montreal Canada. Me to, I'm a scavenger. But with my health issues I had to stop. I discovered with time that I had gout and also recently oxalate. When I get a gout or oxalate attacks it goes into my joints and causes a lot of pain. I have to stay away from carbohydrates and oxalate. I've been doing this for 8 months now. I have great results, I'm moving like a young man again. Of course I will go back to my passion of scrapping until I c'ant do it anymore. I just hope I'll be in my 90's.
If you drink tart cherry juice 1/4 cup daily or take Now brand Cherry Concentrate supplements 2 x daily and that will help with the gout/high uric acid.
I know it’s probably too late but those where brand new fluid meters you pulled out! The glass and aluminum caps are to protect the electronic parts from weather of corse but more importantly they are explosion proof to keep gas out! Only worth around $3500.00 each! I work in the oil patch we use them daily for Chevron, Concho all the big oil companies! Nice find! I’ve actually found those same meters on the side of the road in the box ! Must have slid out of a service truck!
I do polymer clay work and when I saw that huge chunk of plexiglass I wished for a time machine and your phone number! LOL...the "Cane Makers" cost about fifty bucks and that chunk would make two sets! The wireframe thingy would be great for garage sale setups because things you don't want to "walk away" could be zip-tied to it. I used a small version like a book standing up, to hang my necklaces and other jewelry on when I did sales at events. I miss those days.
Hey MIKE your one of my favorite UA-camrs I watch you almost everyday, you give me a lot of inspiration to get to scrapping in my area, been watching videos like this for years. Thanks for great content. I haven't really started scrapping only drive a small sedan not ideal. But I'm super hopeful on finding a truck soon. It's so cool(as they say (TRASH IS TREASURE). You just never know what your gonna find, and I enjoy you giving us/me a breakdown on weight prices, tips tricks. I'll get into soon enough. Thanks again Mike. MIKE THE SCAVENGER
OMG I I was frantically pointing and saying you've missed a bit 🤣🤣 then thankfully you'd grab it bcos I don't think you'd hear me yelling from Australia 🤣🤣
Nice Aluminium & Stainless score! Those two grids are easily worth $45 each. Had a bunch that I sold, and they were bought up fast. Good for putting across the back and front or sides of the truck box, too.
Hey mike, those devices are flow measuring transmitters, the large stainless bodies are between $10,000-15,000 if complete, dont just scrap them, try and find a instrument and control outfit that would buy them, they will pay more than scrap for sure
Awesome so happy for your wife. You are in the good books. The brass bin is an umbrella stand it should a tray or something in the bottom of it. Bless 👍🙏🏻❤️
Boy did you make a mess, but we know that you will clean it up, this is a good haul, LOVE your show Mike, you are a good scrapper. keep up the good work. scrappity scrap scrap
had a silly image come into my head, when you sounded tired and there was only a tiny bit of scrap in the dumpster..and then you hit a really full office clean-out one, with little scrap.........can you imagine the shock of the owners if they found their dumpster gone in the morning...and then reappears the next! and i picture you riding down the street on a bike with a dumpster chained to the back "i scored Big this time!" maybe you had to be there (in my head)lol! always love your videos. thanks! looking forward to an underwater adventure next summer!
Hey Mike, I made me a adjustable metal pole, Welded a big washer on the end, Got a carabiner and big Earth magnet with eyebolt on it and hooked it 2 the washer,, I love it .
The people talking smack on here she can just keep your trap shut they can’t see nothing nice. They probably couldn’t handle one dumpster let alone as many as he does every night. Mike the scavenger keep doing what you’re doing bro.
Wow whata dumpster. It was bottomless. It was like a Christmas morning . You definitely worked hard for that but was so worth it. Thank you for keeping all that from the landfill. 🎉🎉

Totally agree , 👍🏻
Amen!
Many scrappers does it for side cash others for drug money. i have no clue if Mike has a job and does this for a living
What I do know is his you tube money is more now then his scrap money
Who else is IN LOVE WITH THOSE CLANKING METAL SOUNDS, THOSE RUMMAGING THRU A DIRTY TRASH'URE CHEST LOL....MUSIC TO MY EARS

Mike, that wasn’t a trash can, it’s a very expensive umbrella stand. That’s why it is probably brass or copper.
When Mike starts to empty a dumpster you know there's good stuff underneath. 👌
Love the sound of the metal hitting the asphalt! Thank you for helping the planet.
That fancy 170$ trash can looked like it's an umbrella holder, especially since it's made in Italy
Bingo!!
Yep yep.. I got one from a Storage Unit, priced at $185.
