I love that Nathan asks her to go on a ride with him and that Elizabeth offers to pack a picnic, they are both contributing to the date and they are working together. It's so heartwarming. I don't think they'll wind up on the date, something will happen to interrupt them, but it's still a great scene! 🥰♥
I’m gonna have faith that they will eventually in this episode. ❤
Some people claim that the nature of their date (picnic + horseback ride) is a copycat of Lucas and Elizabeth. But in all honesty, what’s wrong with wanting to experience a “similar” activity with a new love interest? That “similar” experience is NEW for Nathan and Elizabeth. Besides, what else is there to do in Hope Valley lol? There’s only so much: dinner, horse back riding, a walk, star gazing, dancing, etc. These are all things every couple has done. One specific experience shouldn’t be unique to a certain couple only. People act like Lucas and Elizabeth have a monopoly on picnics and horseback riding 🙄.
This sneak peek is next week's episode, so I think their ride and picnic will get cancelled or interrupted because of Ally being curious about her bio dad! I hope I'm wrong because I love N&E.
Awe a picnic? That sounds wonderful some quiet time ,slightly romantic and time to just be together! This could get interesting!
PLEASE....let us see them go on that ride and enjoy their date and first kiss!!

There's not going to be a date! Elizabeth is going to end up helping Nathan with Allie. It's going to be emotional for Allie. Nathan and Elizabeth are going to come to the realization that they need each other. That they love each other and the kids need them too and they are just going to get married by episode 11. 😂 They are the upside down couple afterall. Nathan declared his love for Elizabeth in S8. They hadn't even been on a date. Then after Elizabeth rejects him out of fear. Nathan becomes friends with Elizabeth. So, she can get to know him. They have a strong, deep friendship and connection. They share their hearts with one another. Also, they were giving each other advice about their kids to each other. They have only gotten closer with life events that are happening in S11. They are parenting Allie and Jack Jr. together. They are so the couple getting married this season! 😊 ❤
We will see the romance with Nathan and Elizabeth more with married life.
Lol she gave him the green light like three episodes ago and he still can't bring himself to say the word "date". The writers are going to drag this thing out forever because they can't figure out what to do with their main characters if they're not actively pursuing a relationship.
Why do i feel like they won't be able to go to a ride because it's a pattern with them😅?Every time they plan something,it get cancelled for some reason.Or they will go and they will not be able to enjoy their time together because something will happen.I hope i am wrong because i want them to have a little time together.
I agree... after last night, I have finally accepted the fact that the writers are going to stretch everything out until the season finally and possibly beyond. It's a bit disappointing, but I ALWAYS come back to see what happens next. Can't believe the season is almost most over 😢....
If this date doesn't materialize, I really hope we get some much owed loving scenes moving forward! We Nathan/Elizabeth fans have waited LONG ENOUGH!!!!
It's definitely not going to happen. Something with Allie will interrupt it because she is looking for her birth father. They will have a family dinner in ep10 though.
They don't really need dates. Their thing is "deep conversations" that come up organically and falling in love during regular life. They can date when they are married. 😂💛
@@shellybarnes5429Elizabeth and Nathan's thing is they just do life together. I agree with you! They can get Allie to babysit Jack Jr. sometimes and go on dates as a married couple.

Does anyone feel like me? I don't think this date is happening. BUT I think the next 4 episodes are going to pick up in speed. I think Nathan and Elizabeth's thing has always just been that they do life together. Even when they were just "friends" As a couple they are doing life together. So Nathan is going to have a hard time with Allie because Allie wants to go see her birth father. Elizabeth will help "mother" Allie. Elizabeth and Nathan will only grow closer from this experience together. They will realize how much they love each other. That they need each other. That Allie and Jack Jr. need them as parents too. By the end of the season Elizabeth and Nathan will marry and become a blended family.
I have come to this conclusion because BB and the writers said the love triangle is over. Also, writer Elizabeth Stuart called Nathan and Elizabeth destiny! The writers say they love the couple who get married at the end of the season! I don't think it's Mike and Mei because they just started dating and the writers haven't been writing their story together that long. But Nathan and Elizabeth's are a story they have been writing for a long time. Nathan and Elizabeth have been doing life together for a long time!

Beverly, you are not alone, many people are saying the same thing, they think E & N are the ones getting married this season. With the cast and writers saying it's a Love Comes Softly love story with E & N that would make sense. They really don't need to court/date.
To be honest Elizabeth and and Lucas are better off being together romantically, I have some questions: OK Why did Elizabeth choose Lucas over Nathan if that was going to be the case with them then? Why did she tell Nathan that she's not inlove with him she only sees Jack Thornton in him she'll be loving the idea of him than actually loving the man himself and it wouldn't be fair for neither one of them? Why did Elizabeth back out on her supposed of been date with Nathan after she saw Lucas and got extremely jealous when she thought that Lucas found someone else which it turned out to be his mother? When Lucas set her free to decide on whom she truly loves Why didn't Elizabeth chose Nathan then instead of running after Lucas the way that she did and crying over him the way that she did after Jack Thornton had died or something? Why did she except Lucas proposal if she's not inlove with Lucas or sense he was the safe choice instead of the love of her life? Why did she take off her wedding ring to finally move on from Jack Thornton to finally love Lucas? Instead of getting with Nathan? And I don't want to hear because of fear Elizabeth wasn't interested in Nathan in that way she proved it by her actions towards him whenever she sees him it's like this Oh Lordy here he comes again look can't he take a gentle hint that I'm not interested in him romantically type of look. Whenever she sees Lucas she's all smiles and she lights up whenever she sees Lucas. Why did she play? I mean did she ever loved him ? Or was she just stringing him along playing with his emotions like that? Talk about being cruel to people.
I have a stinken feeling that "The Kiss " is going to be the the last segment

The writers are taking stories from old episodes & doing re-writes. For instance, Elizabeth romantically put her head of Jack's shoulder. Elizabeth also romantically put her head on Lucas' shoulder & now she's put her head on Nathan's shoulder. Jack got swooshed away in the river & almost died. Nathan got hit by a car & almost died. Now Lucas gets shot & almost died & how many accidents has Lee had? Elizabeth had a picnic in the boat with Jack, she had 2 picnics with Lucas & now 'might' have a picnic with Nathan. This was the 3rd time Elizabeth dealt with almost loosing the school. Elizabeth told Jack she loved him. She told Lucas 'several times' that she loved him. Why is it so hard to tell Nathan if she's loved him since forever? Sorry, but the storylines are getting repetitive &/or boring.

I sense she will end up being a widow for life. I don't believe this one will last either. Her character has been messed up. She doesn't know what she wants. She goes from one to the other. She had eyes for Lucas and now that has been turned off and it's Nathan now. She looks at Nathan like she used to look at Lucas. She acts like she had never had eyes for Lucas. I see a life long widowhood in her future. Blessings 🤗❤️
I agree, I wish Nathan’s character was more like her late husband. I feel Nathan is unkind.

I guess that’s what they do , use new minds to write an old show.
It’s like when Reebok was made by Reebok like in the 80’s then they sold out to a different company and boom there’s whole new policies new factories new workers new levels of quality and boom new different and not nearly as good Reebok shoes. But because the fan base was already in place they get away with selling the same thing under the same name and it’s not the same.
