Who uses crunchyroll when you can stream it for free
as far as I know there are some programs only available through this platform unless you download them through less moral means.
Don't disrespect the people who pay for streaming services. We watch stuff for free because they still pay the companies to put stuff on the internet.

Bad decision. Crunchyroll will regret it. Without a way to engage it will be impossible to get word out about new shows. CR will reinvent the wheel. Hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes quickly.
