Only have “Boston” “Thriller” “Sgt. Pepper” and “Abbey Road” on picture disc but they all sound terrific on the turntable which surprised me. They sure are fun to have and spin every so often.
An impressive collection, John. I echo that the sound is not great on these, but they have gotten better over time. Still, for sound quality you can't beat the coloured black vinyl.
As always I enjoyed your video, John. One of the first ever records I bought when I started collecting records back in the 70s was the 1962-66 Beatles compilation in red vinyl. Around the same time I also bought the 1967-70 compilation in blue vinyl.
Hi John, apart from my other picture discs, EMI Aust here about 30-35 years ago reissued the White Album on white vinyl, Yellow Submarine in yellow vinyl & Sgt Peppers in wine red vinyl which i bought up. Did EMI there ever do such promotions or have you seen these reissues over there?
I recognised the Reckless Records green and white labels in your other videos. A great music shop amongst others along Berwick Street. My only picture disc is one I picked up at David's Music shop in Letchworth, Hertfordshire about 25 years ago, Simple Minds Once Upon a Time from 1985. The shop is still going strong and they had the first RSD event of this year today.

Out Of The Blue is stunning.

Good idea shooting this video under cloudy skies and even light. The video quality is sharp:).

I have quite a collection of picture discs myself but would still love to own Band on the Run and also Breakfast in America...well jealous...
Coloured vinyl was all the go in the late seventies.
