- This is my 2nd time I reach Master 1 with Galaxy-Eyes Photon. The first time was few months ago • My Master 1 Galaxy-Eye... . I believe the card choices are generically good for this meta or the next meta.
I faced plenty of Vanquish Soul and Kashtira on my grind, in addition to some other combo decks like Dragon Link, Purrely, Branded Bystial, PUNK, Scareclaw, etc. If I had faced certain other decks more often, I would play replace some staples to counter them better, for example Droplet if I face more Dragon Link or Mathmech, Herald of the Abyss/Raigeki if I face more Kashtira, etc.

The deck prefers going 1st and do combos. The usual board can consist of 1 monster negate, 1 spell negate, and 1 quick destroy, alongside some other cards, such as handtraps/staples. Then, the deck focuses to OTK on the second turn (turn 3 of the game).
However, the deck can struggle hard against some handtraps, like Maxx C, Droll, and Shifter, or GY floodgate cards (like Dimensional Fissure, Necrovalley, etc), so dont be surprised when that happens. Still, there are some cases you can end on medium board to counter these floodgate handtraps.

Should I run last hope in my galaxy deck? Ended up doubling trance incase one was interrupted
@@davidgrant761 Imo yes, because it can get afterglow from deck if you need it to OTK on the first turn or for comeback/OTK on your 2nd turn (3rd turn of the game)
So which card replace the 2nd galaxy trace?
@@davidgrant761 Imo, you can either play 2 Trance, or 1 Last Hope and 1 Trance. More than that, it feels having too many GY reliant cards, since these 2 cards are practically searchable.

Galaxy eyes may not be top meta, but sure is load of fun to play. And watching your video gave me ideas on improving my galaxy eyes deck.

It has taken me a few weeks of playing this deck to start getting the hang of it but I'm really enjoying it when my brain works. My older brother wanted me to play with him and told me to just pick a deck and start learning...i picked galaxy photon for the reason that its cool as hell. He plays Monarch...well i started beating him with the ridiculous combos this deck can pull off and he's impressed. I'm still learning, my brain is broken so its taking a while but your matches are helping. Anyways long story long thanks and keep it up.

Going 1st and bricking with too many staples? Sounds like my whole day yesterday at locals with this deck. I'm actually learning from you, how to handle the deck, but it definitely doesn't give me the hands you're getting in these videos XD I brick quite often. Any advice on improving consistency by reducing staples? You know, for a dude who is simply unlucky with all the bricks.

do a vid on the turn skip combo for galaxy eyes. its so statisfying whenever i pull that off in master duel
I learned to play Galaxy-Eyes watching your vids. Have you tried the new turn skip using Photon Timestop and Tellarknight Ptolemaeus? It's surprisingly consistent when not interrupted and hella funny to pull off. Also you can still make your normal board if you can't get to the turn skip. Would make for some good content
I finally finished my Galaxy-eye deck and I will use this guide to reach Master rank 1 for the first time. let's see how far it gets me :D

You need to understand some of meta decks (choke point) and how to utilize this deck, you good to go if your board had solflare, N90 and N38 Goodluck!

I made a similar deck as my first deck, since I started playing about 3 months ago. After the season reset I rattled off 25 straight wins with a very similar list. People aren’t prepared for a 12k dragon swinging 3 times

Do you have any tips on how to beat this deck. I have been playing against it a lot and wanted to know some of the nice places to imperm, ash, etc. Really nice video though. Just need the UR to craft everything and I will definitely be playing this!
Like in the video, you can negate GPD and the turn can stop. Negate Trance can also stop the deck. If you are lucky to have other extenders, the deck can play around handtraps tho.

Yes, but you should remember that you need to learn the combos as well as how to counter/beat meta matchups you find on the ladder.

You coud add photon trident, its a bit hard to search, but really handy also has secondary efect aside of piercing

thrust is meh for going 1st deck. Unless you are floo or mayakashi
@@aronatun well, you can set Eternal Galaxy or Impermanence (or if playing the turn skip variant, Timestop essentially speeding up your setup)

22:30 lol GEPD has half of its monsters with 3k + atk and 3 easy 4k+ beaters. Only thing in similiar range would be synchro combo but they dont work under skill drain
RDA is king with big boards of 3k+ monsters. GP and RDA have similar boards going first but while GP is more going 1 big monster for OTK a bit like cydra, RDA tends to spam out 4-6 synchros on the clap back.
