Thanks for reacting to Avi’s music! He writes 95% of what he sings (only 2 covers released so far). And yes, this acoustic arrangement showcases his incredible and unique voice. To hear him singing with a full band, check out When I’m a Fool (Sunset Sound version), I’m Only Getting Started (B&W video) or First Place I Go (official video). These are some of my favorites (and all Avi originals), but you can’t go wrong with any of his music. His lyrics are powerful - no “fluff” from Avi!

Yes, more Avi Kaplan please. There is something very special about Avi's voice that touches the soul. Add his beautiful lyrics and it also touches my heart. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of his songs, but a couple of my favorites are "When I'm a Fool" (Live at Sunset Sound), and "I'll Get By."
Allis Well is off his latest album Floating on a Dream. On the album it is a duet with Joy Williams who also cowrote this song. It is beautifully perfect just like this version but in a different way. Avi is the only artist I know that can give you a perfect song you wouldn't change a thing, go back and rearrange or change the key and it is perfect again!
Great reaction. Avi is definitely amazing in person. He literal makes you feel the music. I would have loved to have been in that church. I love all of Avi’s solo music. He is very eclectic from Only Getting Started and Get Down to Full Moon and He Don’t Love You Right, Avi takes you on an incredible journey.
Big Avi Kaplan fan. Love his interviews with Shooter Jennings and the live performances all recorded live at Sunset Sound Studios. The interviews are short but they give a beautiful picture of how and why Avi writes. The live performances (especially When I'm a Fool) are wonderful.

Avi is my favorite singer/songwriter. Try Aberdeen, It Knows Me, Chains, Floating on a Dream, I'll Get By......so many to choose from.
Love Avi! You can't go wrong with anything from Avi. I would recommend Full moon its Hauntingly beautiful! There are two versions studio version lyrics only has beautiful layers that are all Avi. Or Live from UA-camspaceLA. Both are fantastic.
First thanks for this lovely reaction. Second in answer to your question, 7layers features artists in simple settings with great acoustics. This was filmed in a church in the Netherlands when Avi was touring Europe in April 2022. All is Well is a song off his latest album Floating on a Dream released in May 2022. Avi is a singer/songwriter so all his music comes from his heart. His music is very diverse so to give you a different flavor his When I'm a Fool live at Sunset Sound is good choice for your next reaction! Cheers!

Love Avi and all the Avi fans are amazing. Every song is a journey and soulful. I love how his lyrics are grounded and the connections he makes through his words and talent is just the best medicine. He's like that in concert as well. He's so charismatic. If you get a chance to attend one of his performances/concerts I would recommend attending a VIP session. He adores his fans and cherishes the questions and conversations. Thanks for the reaction. I hope you will continue the journey into Avi's solo work. There is no one like him.

I do not know how anyone could ever sing more expressively or beautifullt than this performance. Ever.
I enjoyed your reaction, thank you. In a short but great interview with 7 Layers (link below) Avi has said that the line “The darkness in my mind was the path to set my spirit free” is some of lyrics that he is most proud of having written. For me, this song radiates light and happiness. Avi has been through some very dark times but has “landed in the light” and is in a good place.
For more, I would suggest “When I’m A Fool” (from his recent “Live At Sunset” EP), “I’ll Get By”, “First Place I Go” and Aberdeen”.

Lately he has been concentrating more in a folk rock direction.
