Kelly, Thanks is a small way of appreciating your videos. They are so clear and slow enough to show how to work the beads. You are so great and patience to give these ideas to us. I have beaded for some time and always look for things unique and ways to make the beads "shine". Awesome helps and ideas. Thanks again.
Kelly, I have been beading for years, mostly with dead beads. I've just discovered super duo beads which is how I found you :) I am also an IT software instructor and I have to say that you are the best beading instructor I have seen. I appreciate your tips and specific guidance you provide. I am a definite fan and wish I was close to your store but I am in Texas. Please keep beading and sharing your knowledge with us! Thank you so much, Pam
You are very clear and easy to understand. Many times people who make tutorials talk about what they are going to do more than what they are actually teaching. I love your sweet accent and I look forward to seeing more of your tutorials. I am also a jewelry designer and I have my own business in that field but I never learned to do the type of designs that you taught here. Thank you for being so clear and direct without losing your sweetness. Blessings to you! Debbie
I do love your tutorials, Kelly!! You are so articulate and you take so much time to explain every step, from start to finish .. Thank you!! I've never failed any of your tutorials, they've all worked out perfectly, but I can't say the same for some of the other most popular demonstrators. You're a truly great teacher, and you've taught me so much! I now design most of my own pieces because I've learned all of the techniques you've taught me! Thanks so much : )
Yay!!! A new video. I love watching your videos. I know it's tough getting new videos out there when you have a family to take care of. So thank you for taking the time to make videos for all your followers and the earnings are great. I can't wait to see what you come up for the next video.
Those are absolutely lovely! Your explanation is so easy to follow. I appreciate that you didn't cut out the part where you experienced difficulty - the same as I know I will - but you explained what to do so I won't get frustrated. Thank you!
Janet so glad you like my bloompers lol. I left it in there for that purpose. People always say that I make it look easy and I wanted them to see that I make mistakes too! Thanks for watching!
Kelly, I really do enjoy your tutorials. You really explain it well, and you seem like such a sweet person. Thank you for going to the trouble of showing us how to do it.
I'm currently seeing this video from my office and wishing i'm home right now so I can practice this! It so easy, clear and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. It's awesome!
This was super fun and easy. I always love watching your tutorials because you actually know how to give direction.. AND I can see what you're doing and comprehend it! Super fun design! I did not have the proper bicones.. so I used a 3mm squatted round bead, and it came out great!
Thanks so much. You are a very good teacher. Your camera work and explanations are always clear and precise. And I love your Audrey Hepburn "Breakfast at Tiffany's" poster!
Kelly - I just finished my first pair of Fanbellum earrings. I used Orange Copper Superduo beads and they came out beautiful. I am already working on the wrap bracelet with Superduo you shared. Your videos are very easy to follow and you do not miss a step with your demonstrations. Thank you for sharing.
Great video! I did make one change, I added the beads for the ear wire while I was at the top. Doing it that way I didn't have to weave thru the piece to add them later. Thank you so much for your videos, they are the BEST on Utube!!!
I have to say that I truly love all your patterns that you do and hopefully I will get to come up there soon and just be able to sit under your teachings in person. I appreciate all the wonderful patterns but these earrings are reall great.
you're so cool. ;) thank you for teaching me how to make these cool earrings. you teach so well, and you make it so it isn't confusing. I used duos to make leaf earrngs, but got frustrated doing half hitches and then going back through the same hole, and it would stay, so I only made one. ;) took 3 nights. I'm going to go make these now, for a silent auction at my DIL's church so she can go to Mexico and do missionary work. plus my son and the little ones, so I have to make lots of different earrings, and I just thank you so very much for adding to them. dreaming up designs doesn't happen to me very often, so know that you are appreciated. ;) ♥ Cheers!
Thank you! I just finished a pair but changed one thing and that was that i exchanged the very last duo with a 3mm bicone. It seemed to balance and blend a litle more for my personal taste. You give good instructions and i enjoyed mkg these!♥ I may try a tear drop bead next time for the last bead.
Thanks Kelly for all your great video's I am getting ready to do these earrings. I am using the twisted bugle beads I hope it turns out all right that is all I have.
2nd comment LOL! - Kelly, you are cooler than a rock star! I can't wait for my order so I can make lots of Flabellum earrings. If you had been my Algebra teacher, I might have actually understood it! 😂 You really have a gift! Sending love from Jacksonville, Alabama! 💖
Kelly, thank you. This design and tutorial are awesome! I make too many mistakes though, and found I could not recover using Fireline doubled through the needle so I used Nymo D and started with a tail vs. a knot. It worked fine. I ended up coming out of the last bugle in the wrong direction to add the Superduo but I just went back through all the bugles and seed beads to correct it. As it turns out, the added reinforcement is a good thing and I will do it this way in the future on purpose ;-)
Glad you were able to find a stringing material that worked for you. I only suggest the fire line but you can use whatever works best for you. So glad you enjoyed the video.
Simple yet elegant earrings. I tried this earring but I had a lot of difficulties. 1. When I was reinforcing the first line of bugles you know what my needle was broken. The eye of the needle was in the thread. So I had to cut the thread to take out the needle.then I inserted a new needle, tied a knot in the thread and continued to work. 2. After finishing, when I was passing the thread to go to the top my thread was broken. Again I tied a knot and was continuing the work. Very difficult to pass the needle through the seedbead.when I was inserting needle through seedbead, my 11/0 was broken and then I had a long gap between the bugles. I adjusted that too and continued to proceed with single thread. Finally I finished the earring. I wrote this long comment so that anyone who start to do this will be very careful when reinforcing. Anyway I was very pleased with finished earrings.
Yet, you continued to plug away at it. I bet the results are stunning. It is a gorgeous piece. You are very determined. Kudos to you. You've inspired me. Thanks for sharing your story.
Great tutorial and pattern! I am just starting to work with superduos and these are really fun and fast to make and helps hone your bead weaving skills overall. In fact. I love all your videos. Except maybe.......the twin needle ones. haha
Hi Kelly now theses are the prettiest pair I have seen. Really not because your my favorite video person ( ok maybe a little) I was very happy as always with my order. I will use my discount for #3 bugle beads. I do need to make some of these earrings Giving you a store plug YOU ALL video watcher peeps have to (buy#3 bugle bronze # 1369) they are beautiful I mean yummy flavor! Thank you Kelly. Boo Hoo I know Grayson is a busy baby teach him beading so you can film every 2 weeks lol
HOLA Kelly is very nice to see you again How is your family? You looks very preaty as allways and the neckles is very elegantan and tahk you again for a beautiful earring tut. Good bless you and your family !!!! Gracias desde México City
kelly this was awesome. didnt check holes and got caught with closed holes so started over. wondering if i should use crystal fireline with lighter duos
Dear Kelly, these earrings are very beautiful , thank you for the video ! However I made 2 pairs and they tend to curl to the front or to the back when wearing them. Is there anything I can do to prevent this curling? I used all materials as described in the video . Thank you in advance!
Kelly, I ordered your pdf from Etsy for these earrings. I would love to make the turquoise earring, and could you please tell me what colors you used in the green earring so I can order these from you. I love watching your videos. Thank you
Kelly, this was one of my most favorite things of yours I've made, and I've made a lot! Question though about the fireline showing. I have crystal and black, and for my red SuperDuos, the sides of the earrings look awful with the thread showing. Any suggestions besides buying red Fireline? Any chance there will be a matching necklace design? Thanks for everything you do.
Me he entretenido mucho haciéndolos me ,encantaron hice 2 pares unos ,para mi hija y y otros para mi, muchas gracias por los tutoriales eres una gran profesional UN MUXU DESDE DONOSTI
What colors did you use in the turquoise pattern. I am going to order your pattern from Etsy, and I would love to make it in these colors. Thank you Betsy.
