Hi. Nice to hear the pumping is going well for you. But in Norway they don't work at all, at least I haven't found a place where you can use them to affect! A spade a fork will always get the job done! Thanks brother glad you liked it 😁👌
Nice info Bill! Used to net sandeels in a local estuary for bait with a big seine net, but not done much bait digging. Too old and no longer well enough to wield a shovel or fork in anger! Stay safe & well Brother. 👍👍
Cheers Billy, quick and to the point ! i like it :) always full of tips ;) i just bought a new bait pump and not tried pumping yet in Stavanger , so i think i better bring the auld fork too just to be on the safe side :) thanks once again for the tips
Hi. I have never been able to pump worms in Norway, unfortunately! The sand is just not fine enough, but somewhere there must be a place. So I have learned just to dig them. And as it goes, is usually pretty easy here. Thanks Brother 😁👌
My Dad would have loved where you were digging for lug so many in one spot . Cant remember where we use to go for lug back in the 70s as a nipper with the Dad probably baldoyle behind the wall .But for peeler crab from the Burrow as well . Jasus remember chasing my sister with big jack crabs around that beach . Now see what your video has done to me bringing back great memories , Anyway keep up the good work ps who was the camera person . Hope it was the Missus , Up the Dubs
amazing video brother thanks for doing another one of the digging content i enjoyed watching it will definitely be recommending you to my angler pals keep up the good work 👍
Here in Lindesnes i´ve tested lugworm against "reker" a few times and the reker won the battle every time. But its difficult to find decent amounts of lugworm here because the lack of tidal zones. So maybe the fish just dont know these type of food here.
Iv never been able to dig decent rag and no one will help show or tell me where to get them, despite probably only digging bait less than 10 sessions per year. As for lug I have my spot and don’t claim it it’s a public place for all and I happily tell fellow fishermen. I once dig a black lug that was the length of the top of my big finger to my elbow, a giant 😳
@dazzer273 also maybe try somewhere new! People who have their ragworm spots never want to share. And this is because people mistreat the the worm beds 👌
That's how the marshes in my area used to be back in the days they were so prolific I don't go there anymore it's to hard work for so few worms and a long walk out as well, don't know if it's nitrates washing off the land or what 😢
That's some pretty loose sand you got there, makes it easier to dig Lugs than an Irish typical strand, where You have to use a pump or fork instead of a shovel. How does your back feel after that nice workout? Nice Lug's.
maczenie tekstu za pomocą aparatu Hello Billy, is this worm different from the European 15 cm long worm that comes out of the ground after dark and is caught only at night?
Your talking about a normal Lob worm got from your lawn, LugWorm like Ragworm are only found in saltwater areas in sand and mud hence the gills. Your normal Earth Worms and Lob Worms do not have gills.
Yes it is! This worm is the marine equivalent of an earthworm . They live in the sand underneath the water. And have gills like a fish! And they are fantastic bait for most fish in Europe. Thanks Brother 😁👌
I'm sitting here on a Co Antrim beach watching this, successfully blanking g with a wrap of 10 frozen black lug that cost me a tenner. Unfortunately no worm to dig on this beach
I also fish the Co. Antrim beaches( Ballygally tomorrow) and like you, have been blanking almost everytime. We're not the only ones though as anyone I've been speaking to say basically the same thing, Antrim coast is shocking, well waterfoot isn't as bad. Where ya fishing atm?
Can’t knock a bit of free bait , good exercise, fresh air , win win 😁 appreciated Billy 🤘🏼🤘🏼
That's it Brother, thanks Paul 😁👌
billy - get another one up mate - iam getting withdrawl symptoms here
Lol

Thanks Graham, hope it helps out 😁👌

You can't beat good fat lug like that! Pat. No wonder your Da would have loved it! Not exactly a wifey, more like a camera woman 😅 thanks brother 😁👌
I will have to try that. Great stuff Billy 👍🏾
Anytime Garri, always good to have lots of bait! Thanks Brother 😁👌

My experience has been different . Because I do really well around the fjords with lugworm in that area! Thanks Brother 😁👌

@@Billyfishing_watch great to watch this video again, I often only find harbour rag and the odd white rag so perhaps I need to dig further out
@dazzer273 also maybe try somewhere new! People who have their ragworm spots never want to share. And this is because people mistreat the the worm beds 👌
Brother Billy some nice worms and massive casts. Excellent quality video bother.
I too hate wasting money on bait we get 10 rag for 4 quid and 10 black lug for 3 50 thats 6 casts on a 3 hook flapper and the dog fish love them ❤
Somebody's making money! Always best if you can get it yourself. Thanks Brother 😁👌
That's how the marshes in my area used to be back in the days they were so prolific I don't go there anymore it's to hard work for so few worms and a long walk out as well, don't know if it's nitrates washing off the land or what 😢
It is a sad story, only too common these days. What a shame. Thanks brother 👍
You must be well north now with reindeer in the background!
I sure am! Thanks Brother 😁👌
Hi Billy. Now you are going to show us what you catch with them, right?
Buon apetito 👋
That's the plan! Thanks brother 😁👌

Actually the ground is filled with rocks so it's pretty hard going. But there was plenty of worms. Thanks Brother 😁👌

What make is your bucket Billy?
It is a folding bucket from a Scandinavian company called BILTEMA.
@@Billyfishing_watch looks good Quality handy for me here in Shetland.
@tomjenkinson8958 they are not bad, I am sure you will find one on AliExpress 👌

Such a shame about the worms! And the fishing! Maybe you should take your 10 quid, and buy yourself a nice piece of monkfish 😅 thanks brother 😁👌
@Billyfishing_watch it's right what you say, but then it's a lovely night for sitting on the beach
@roddorman8292 I am sure it is, it's never time wasted! Just money 😁👌

@Desaura Glenarm tonight, nowt not even a chewed bait. Two hours either side high water. Going Benone if we get a good day this week.
You didn't snap it this time 👍
That's because the shovel was quality! Not like the one my brother gave me 😂 thanks Brother 😁👌
@@Billyfishing_watch hahaha 😂 got set up by your brother
Certainly no shortage of worms there Billy 🐟🇳🇴
