Fun vid! The last day the buying floor is always mega packed because people give out really good deals.
I did notice more deals advertised on Sunday this year than I have in a while, it was nice to see their return
@@Dr.Quarex Some vendors started putting price tags on their stuff that progressively marked the product down each day to mimic the sale without having to change the deals daily. You just take the risk that the product is gone, thought that was pretty neat.
I am so glad that YT brought me to your page! I haven’t been to gencon since 2019. I really wanted to go but I didn’t want to mess with the mask and unknowns of just getting regular sick at cons. (I touch my face too much…so it’s mostly my fault 😂)
I 100000000000% understand how you’re feeling tonight. Where we live there aren’t very many gamers, and we have to travel pretty far to get to stores that show off new games that were at the con.
We had our own “event” this year at home, drove out to Kansas City to buy a bunch of games and then went back home to play thurs-tonight. Just stopped playing about an hour ago.
For me I’m sad bc I miss that community. I feel like I could go in wearing my pink hair and dress up like a fairy cow and no one would judge me for a second. I grew up being bullied and never fit in. Then when I grew up and got married no one understood me and I had to hide my true passions and joys. At gencon it’s like you don’t know anyone there, but at the same time we kind of do. Most just want to be friends, play a game, and talk about our passions for gaming. It feels safe and like you’ve finally found your people and can be yourself. ❤ what a wild ride. I can’t wait to go again..but until then..thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us so people like me could feel included.
I definitely think walking into the Exhibit Hall at my first Gen-Con was the first moment I felt like I was somewhere surrounded by strangers who actually had something in common with me. I get it
