    Very cool. We should see more Flettner-Rotor equipped ships in the future. The potential for saving fuel is significant. I wonder though why they put the rotors only on one side of the ship?

      Easy. Optimum deck space and cargo storage. The most power is generated with winds coming across the ship (reaching) but the pressure vectors are fore and aft - very little laterally, unlike a normal sailing yacht.
      So doesn't matter if they are on one side.

    Plus, the gyroscopic effect reduces the amplitude and speed of the ship's rocking.

    Is there any data about the performances (power/thrust versus wind) and energy saved by the Flettner rotors on this ship?

    and what about to obtain Wind operated - Electric generators in such of full wind-elec vessel powering

    I have been wanting to bulid a ship like this for a while now. How can I get hull line drawings? Anything I find are unreadable. Thanks for any help you have

      The Hul lines are relatively unimportant. The size and speed of the Rotors is the tricky bit. I commend a read on this discussion thread.
