Another one who knows nothing about history. As for Poland and Czechoslovakia, the Czechs first deceitfully took Zaolzie from us when we were fighting for survival with the Bolsheviks. Later in 1938 we took back what was ours. The fact is that at that time it absolutely did not help us, but these lands were ours and if you call someone "bad" in this story, it's only Czechs. From a strategic or rather modern point of view, it was stupid to join the partition of Czechoslovakia, but no one knew what would happen next. The Czechs are to blame for letting themselves be deceived by the Western countries and let their lands with bunkers and border fortifications be taken from them without firing a shot. If the war had broken out in 1938, perhaps half of Europe would not have been under communist occupation for almost half a century, and Germany would not have gone very far either. Blitzkrieg could stop where the Czech fortifications and the large and modern army that the Czechs had. Instead of fighting, they preferred to be humiliated. It's better to fight alone than to trust your allies too much. Similarly, if we Poles had not been in alliance with the British or had not succumbed to their pressure, we would have had a mobilized army for defense in 1939, and not just a handful of soldiers, to quote the British and French; "don't annoy hitler"
Another one who knows nothing about history As for Poland and Czechoslovakia. Zaolzia was firstly given to the Czechs in 1918 following the end of ww1. The Poles tried deceitfully taking it first in 1919, but failed. You were not involved in your war of imperialism and aggression against the Bollsheviks yet. Later in 1938 you stole what was rightfully Czech land. The fact is that this land absolutely did not help you and was not yours. If you call anyone bas in history, it's the Poles. The Poles are to blame for their eternal imperialism and refusing to coorperate with their neighbours literally offering them protection if they just gave back all the land they stole. If Poland had done so, perhaps Europe would never even have to endure 6 years of fascist occupation. Oh yeah, Poland is one too talk lmfao. Literally chosing to ally with their worst enemy, the facsists, just to get a small piece of land. Pathetic. You literally never even at full power stood a chance against the Germans. Not even close.
Polish victim mentality is so tiring. Of course you've never done anything wrong and of course you could have beaten the Germans if only it weren't for the British. They weren't obligated to come to your rescue. The bet was that Germany wouldn't wage a mutually destructive war but they did anyway and lost. Why would they ever risk sending their men to die to prevent a war that may not even break out?
@@carolean4360 You're talking nonsense. England and France knew perfectly well that Germany would eventually attack someone in the alliance. Germany wanted to take revenge on the French for the Treaty of Versailles, but they knew perfectly well that when they attacked France, Poland would commit itself to the alliance. 3. Poland did not invade Czechoslovakia in 1938, an official letter was sent informing Czechoslovakia to give back the Zaolzie areas that it had previously annexed. Czechoslovakia signed documents confirming the transfer. There was no military conflict.
Was it taking advantage of a weakened Czechoslovakia? Yes, there is no point in arguing here.
And even now in Polish history books it is called an error. Quoting Lech Kaczyński, president of Poland 2005-2010, in 2009:
"Poland's participation in the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1938 was not only an error, but above all a sin. And we in Poland can admit this error rather than look for excuses. We need to draw conclusions from Munich and they apply to modern times: you can't give way to imperialism."
And this is how normal countries work, they draw conclusions from history and forgive each other. However, a certain country called russia likes to brought up Zaolzie to justify its friendship with nazis.
i mean Poland invade Czechia 2 more times in last 100 years so he can mean one of the other ones

Czechoslovakia first invaded Poland in 1919. They take ,,Zaolzie'' region for them self with 80% of polish citizens. They took advantage of the fact that poland was fighting the soviets at the time. The Czechs committed numerous war crimes. They shot many captured soldiers.
the only reason somebody call it invasion is that Poland send in troops sooner cos Czechia was fighting Hungary but the region would democratically elect to join Czechia you can find it on Wikipedia
In my (Polish) Wikipedia says that the Czechs were the first to attack the Part of Silesia legally controlled by the Poles. With most people speaking Polish. In the area where I live, there are several monuments commemorating prisoners of war who were shot.@@marskavols1073

Another one who knows nothing about history
As for Poland and Czechoslovakia.
Adolf wasn't that stupid, so he attacked Poland first, hoping that the French and British wouldn't budge.
And unfortunately he was right. And what happened next, everyone knows.
WIĘC WYPIEDALAJ *middle finger*
