Such great photos! And it has been a joy seeing Reykjavik covered in snow. Need to go there in wintertime asap!
Nice Video and Cool Awesome Shots, I recently bought my self the Sony a7iv AND now I am waiting on some Snow here in Connecticut to go out and Shoot some POV street Photos :) Keep up the Good Work and Don't torture the camera lol
Where I live, everything would be shut down with that much snow! Heck, if there’s even mention of snow, no actual snow, they shut everything down. Very pretty stuff.
Your killing me with this video, now i have to go to iceland, looks amazing, congrats on the photos look epic
I live in The Colony, Texas United States and we do not get anywhere close to this much snow. It's pretty amazing to see! Your images are great and are wonderful to see. Thank you for creating this video!
Wow! I’m not really sure that If i would like to be in that exact weather conditions but it’s so freaking enjoyable to watch it from here mate. Amaazing content 👌🏻
You're crazy man (I like it) lol. Nice job, as always. It looks a little different from when we were there in October 👀.
Wow crazy good shots! I did this one time myself here in newfoundland, taking shots during and after a storm like this! It was an experiance for sure! I had to change my battery half way because of the cold! This was back with film as well! Also points on that epic selfie shot sir!
Thanks for watching ☺️ and yea it's such a nice feeling shooting in these conditions and also greatful when back home and seeing that the gear survived haha
I love the selfie at 6:20. that weather is wild. We have the same here in Ireland but it's rain not snow!
I need to visit Ireland, being a ginger I feel like a part of my roots are there 😂 plus from what I've heard then it's beautiful
@@thaticelandicguy When you do come let me know. You'll see some of Ireland over on my EXTREMELY new channel! Still getting used to editing, so forgive me, don't laugh. But you'll get a sense of Ireland. I'm often looking at the weather in the Atlantic and basically you get the winds just after us usually but with snow. Iceland is on my list, very high up there! cheers mate. PS> Ginger gets you a passport. ☘
Some people speaking Latvian at 3:04. Just like you, we're accustomed to and not afraid of harsh weather conditions.
Are you still alive my Icaelandic ice friend? :D
Really enjoyed this POV shot, specially it's Iceland in a blizzard :)
love the vid and photos
I am so disappointed that you didn't take advantage of those wonderful weather conditions and photograph the absolutely lovely Reykjavik City Hall. Ok....there is so much sarcasm in that sentence that even I think it is almost too much....haha.
Seriously, nice video. It is a dream of mine to return to Iceland one year for New Years Eve. Iceland, and the Icelandic people, definitely have a special place in my heart.
Man I wish we had so much snow here in Switzerland! The only thing we get at the moment is rain and +10 degrees. Sucks...
Nice photos! I don't think I would do that with A6400 and the kit 18-135mm lens. But I would like to shoot in harsher conditions, the photos are unique!
hahahahaahaaa loved that selfie
@@thaticelandicguy I watched your masterclass on Domestika. thank you, epecially when you mentioned the three second rule on tiktok. you're doing a great job brother.
If there is suddenly so much snow, is it actually possible to go skiing ? 😅 the houses reminds me a lot to Norwegian ones with the wooden panels outside. Are they completely in wood or are there bricks behind ?
Bro I believe in your opinion to start filming what camera is good for good quality videos something not really expensive so so ?
I came there in 2019. It was winter but icy, not snowy. So nice to see the same places covered in so much snow. Also would be amazing to see the aurora behind Hallgrímskirkja but sadly when I was there it was always very cloudy. Question: why are you using so high ISO and high shutter speed? To get the snowflakes wouldn't 1/500 be enough, allowing for lower ISO ?
A lot of snow is always nice 😊 well with the a74 the you can go really high on the iso without it being noticed tbh. And because this was a run and gun situation in an extreme environment then I went with aperture priority. I wanted to make sure I got the shots well exposed (I like -0.3 to protect the highlights slightly) while not having to think about it - you only get a second to capture moments in these conditions tbh.
And to make sure the aperture won't go too low then I put the iso manually a little higher.
I probably could have played around with lower shutter speed as well. It makes the snow look cool too (I did that a few times, the first photo was 1/50). But I also like when the snow is just really sharp.
Hope this answers your question 😊
Where can I get to see these pictures? Do you have a website?
what type of gloves do you use when you go shooting with this kind of weather?
Fint!
how are you filming? Gopro?
Yea that one was on my old GoPro, but I just got the Osmo 3 from DJI, can't wait to try that one
Please give me a camera 🥺
The fact that the Sony survived under these conditions just goes to show how good and practical Sony cameras are. So sick! Love the video and the shots my man! Hope to see you around in Iceland when its a little warmer :))
Let's go Timon! And big thanks my man 🙏🏻☺️
I think it’s a gamble with any camera that doesn’t have an IPX rating. Best to insure your gear against theft and damage.
