*+Kucing mui mui*, he's like, "Ugh, there's my 'stupid' brother at it again! What did that moron get up to this time!?! All I know is I'm not getting him outta it again and messing my fur and/or self up and getting in the same stupidity as THAT baka!" LOL!
Ah, the joys of pulling furniture to free trapped cats. Been there, done that. At one point our cat went up the fireplace. Yes, UP the chimney. She turned from completely white to completely black.
Cats can make the most pathetic sounding meows sometimes! One day, a few years back, my husband was getting ready for work and opened the pantry door. Our cat, Rogue, slipped past him unnoticed and he shut her in. Luckily, it was my day off, but I had slept in a few hours before coming downstairs to the sounds of Rogue meowing her head off. I practically played marco-polo with her while trying to find her! LOL!
It could kill him one day if they continue to not cat proof anything. Everyone knows cats like to get into small spaces, jump on top of stuff, and open doors
Poki: Let me out! Let me out! Haku: Hmm... How you got there? Poki: Woohoo i am out Haku: Let's see how is it there :D Rachel and Jun you have very funny Cats
I used to have a cat, Orbs, she'd get in weird places. One time, I found her in the car, between the grill & the radiator. No idea. Another time, she got in my uncle's car. He came right back. She was 6 lbs, with a screech that would terrify a velociraptor. Another time, on a screeching hot day, I found her sitting in the back of my dad's car on the ledge under the back window. I yanked her out, she was sick the next day. Silly cat.
Way to go Poki. *facepalm* But to be serious, you'll be amazed at how many places cats can find themselves stuck in. Our first cat got herself stuck in the dresser, in a closet, and on a curtain rod (yes, you heard that right)... and then taught our dog how to get stuck behind the couch.
@@shioneshiori4471 My Siamese did that too and managed to get herself stuck way in the back. She was screaming for at least 30 minutes until my mom got fed up, reached as far in as her arm could go, grabbed the tip of my cat's tail and yanked her out. Both Mom and cat were okay.
lmao. Reminds me of the time I had moved into my apartment. Was putting the shelves back in my dresser, and my cat had crawled inside the dresser when I wasn't looking. I couldn't find him, so started calling his name, and kept hearing meowing, and couldn't figure out where he was. Eventually traced the meows to the dresser, and looked underneath and saw him looking back at me XD. Pulled the drawer out and he calmly walks out from the drawer slot. He never did that again, but was hilarious.
"Earthquake pad"? Whassat? Might make for an interesting video topic - earthquake preparedness and products like this unknown "earthquake pad". I've heard some vending machines can be set remotely to give their products out free in case of emergency, which is way cool.
I had to get my cat out of my dresser the other day. The board doesn't cover the entire back of the dresser and she managed to squeeze in behind the dresser and then up behind the board on the back of the dresser. I couldn't find her and was calling her and then my dresser started meowing lol
This is late but, I have a cat who got stuck in the ceiling. It was one of those cheap panel ceilings in our basement. He refused to leave so I smashed the tile from underneath him.
Poor Poki!!! We started putting carpet on the backs of furnishings for just that reason. Gives them a way to climb out if they fall behind something against the wall. For those big pieces I wrapped one-inch dowels with carpet to stick down between the shelves and the wall. I don't know if this will be of any benefit to you guys, but it works for us. Such a sweet video! I can just hear Poki thinking, "what's up here? This is new! Whoops!!! Well, this is cozy! And... Um... Dark... And, umm... Oh crap!!! Time to call my human servants to me!!!"
My cat is a magical little Manx who found a way to move a bookcase a foot back and then maneuver it back in place as well as disassemble a speaker and reassemble it from the inside. These are literally my only explanation for how she got stuck in either of those places, because they are both flush with the wall, and weigh much more than her little kitty paws can push. Maybe Pokey is magic too, and just managed to magic himself into the wrong place.
Aww, poor Poki. Looks like he jumped down from the top. Might need to figure out a way to block off that gap at the top. If he's anything like my cat, he'll start going back there just for fun.
Can't get enough Poki! I love how at the end when you pick him up, the 1st thing he wants to do is play with the camera strap. He is the picture of "cat innocence"
My cat does that, too, hahah, or he follows us into the garage/cellar without making a noise, and then stays stuck there for 10 minutes until we hear him meow to get out x)
Aw! Poor Poki! He was so happy to see you guys lol! Cats are such goobers. My young lady cat thought it be a good idea to get stuck under our bed once. She avoids that now lol
My childhood cat would crawl into the wall of my partly finished basement and get stuck. I'd have to get into the crawlspace and literally pull him out of the wall. He did it once every 3-4 months. I think he did it for the attention because he wasn't that stupid, and it only happened when I was in the basement with him.
its a little (blue usually) sticky pad that you stick to the bottom of heavy things! that way when there is a big earthquake, the pad keeps the items from falling over :)

This was so typical of cats but you gotta love the little furballs! By the way, I love what you two posted to Grace and Ryosuke over at Texan in Tokyo - I appreciate your support of their difficult decision. We are all going to miss their wonderful videos on UA-cam but the support for them has been amazing. (So glad you two are here for us too!).
lmao he's so naughty! A few years ago I accidentally shut my cat in the closet for like five hours because I went to school and my brother realized she was meowing in there. I always tell her "no!" cause she wasn't allowed in there because of my nice clothes being in there but she likes to be places where she's not allowed. And because it was dark in the morning and she's black she was able to slip in unnoticed. Needless to say, she never tried to get in there again. I hope Poki learned his lesson too lol
I had a fish explore behind my new cupboard once... it didn't end too well though. Found him dried up and very much dead and covered in dust about a week later D: Unfortunately fish can't cause a racket when they've gotten themselves stuck... glad Poki was alright, and hopefully he's learnt his lesson! ;) Thanks for the great video - you guys are the best. Remember, if you ever need any advice or suggestions on the fish tank (like how to avoid suicidal cupboard-exploring fish) or growing plants I'd love to be of use ^^
Archmage Vengard I had a small strip of the aquarium lid that was cut out to make room for the filter and heater electrical chords going out of the tank... a male platy of mine probably got scared sometime during the night and leapt out of the water. The poor thing would have to have been extremely unfortunate to hit that exact spot without lid, but that's what happened. They don't last too long out of water.
Rachel: Poki, what did you do? Poki: I have made the gravest of mistakes mother: venturing into an area I cannot get out of. Surely you can rescue me from this dark lonely abyss Rachel: Well I guess Id better wake up Jun Poki: No mother! Do not leave me here!
It's a cat thing; explore, explore, yell a lot, get rescued. When I was a kid, my dad was always having to rescue kittens and cats that would fall down inside the walls of our barn. Glad Poki is OK and didn't have to spend more than a few minutes trapped.
Poki is so lucky to have you! Watching your videos it is obvious he constantly gets himself into trouble. He has likely used up all of his cat lives when you rescued him on the side of the road. He's now basically living on "borrowed time", so cherish him while you... take him out of the trash bin and from behind the cabinets, lol!
Since Texan in Tokyo are quitting UA-cam I'm really scared you guys are going to quit too and leave us all Japan-deficient. Please stay with us!!! (for maybe a few years more at least) Also, what is an earthquake pad?
+W. H. haha don't worry! There will be no graceful retirement of us in our prime. We'll be around until way past the point that anyone wants us here. By the time we actually quit UA-cam we'll have worn out our welcome so hard #FINALLYTHANKGOD will trend on twitter 💖
色の神様 Grace and Ryosuke want to start a family. They both agreed they didn't want to put their children's face on UA-cam. They both believe it would be tough to do UA-cam and try to avoid filming kids.
Nice going Poki! I have had a cat do that and it sucks trying to get them out from behind or in things. We have an old Electric organ here in the house and my cat Athena decided to crawl in where there was a hole for the foot peddle and she got stuck inside it took 2 hours to get her out of it.
What a Siamese personality he's got! So curious and into everything he can possible get. I hope he didn't leave anything or chew on anything back there. I wonder what Haku was sniffing at when he went back there: "What were you doing back here, Poki?" :D
Speaking of cats getting stuck, once my cat (Wobbles) got stuck in between the house grill (cause houses here there are 'grills' outside windows/doors to make sure no thief gets in. I have no idea what it's actually called lol) and the door lmao. I was closing it to lock it for the night and I kept pushing against it wondering "Why can't the door close?". I pushed it hard enough and locked it but then I heard meowing from the other side 😂 I accidentally squished him orz. I felt so bad after that and gave Wobbles snacks lol.
xD my dog does this too! Normally he's quite smart, but then he feels the need to king of the mountain on top of the couch and TV stand, only to fall behind the furniture. He now has crash padding and an escape route behind these pieces of furniture. Hopefully Poki won't make this a frequent occurrence!
I love Poki so much. I love his story. I love how vivacious he is now. He is so grateful to be rescued he is just crazy and into everything. Just think of what would have become of him if you haven't stopped on the road that day. Give him a kiss for me.
Haku:Dude... Dude.. just-just stay cal- Poki:AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- Oh wait I'M FREEEEEEEEE! Haku: Let's see what's in ther- WAIT HERE WE GO I'M OUTTA HERE.
Oooo, that's a good idea, or small screws to affix the scratch board to the wall. It depends on what the rules are for the apartment they're in. Some don't let you hang/affix anything to the walls at all. :P
Poki reminds me of someone i know. His personality is adventurous (sometimes to a fault) and he is always playful and loves food. But when it comes down to it he is kind and loving.
Rebecca Lynn Rachel commented on Grace's video :) I'm so sad they're leaving social media and UA-cam! I understand why they're doing it, though, and I wish them luck and happiness with everything!
Yeah, Grace is a good friend of mine! We've talked this sort of subject over many times. :) I think she's doing the right thing for now and I'm really happy for her!
Even after just being woken up, Jun is still so patient, kind and gentle lol A lot of people are cranky when they wake up. Haha Does Jun ever get angry???
The house beside mine is empty but my cats got stuck on their garage so many times (three different cats in three different times). Since the owner don't live there, it's suck getting their help. They are also very unfriendly and call us mad family because our cats. (¯―¯٥) So we just rig them out by ourselves when the cats stucked again. (Yes, we broke in. Yes, didnt feel guilty at the slightest. We are mad, afterall.)
as soon as i started playing the video and your cat started doing that meow, my cat woke up and started meowing while walking around trying to find your cat. i had to stop the video immediately before he became completely confused. lol. headset time.
I'm inclined to believe that every cat owner has a Poki at least once in their history as a cat owner. Our Poki is named Kylo, he's a Bombay and he is duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb. But also incredibly adorable and we love him.
His meows make me so sad. :( I hate when cats sound distressed, in any kind of situation, even if it's something as silly as getting trapped behind the cabinet. Luckily, it was easy to move and free him!
Poki and my kii kii are two of a kind. Denis the Mennis little fur balls always into something! We love them and our lives would not be the same with out them. God bless you both. Grammy from Kansas
Yeah, I've been in many earthquakes, and having to buy new dishes every time there's a big one really sucks. Kitchen-ware moving around less during an earthquake sounds like a good idea to me.
In my experience, the smart cats also tend to be too curious for their own good! My favorite part was that Haku had to go check everything out behind the cabinet too: "What was he doing back here? There must be something interesting . . ."
Its like I stumbled on a new television series! I havent been able to stop watching since I found this page yesterday! Im glued to these videos!!!! I HAVE to move from the computer lol...
'Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction (or in this case Rachel and Jun) brought her back.' I always act like Rachel when my cats to strange/not so smart things, giggling to myself while trying to rescue them.
"that's not being helpful..." paahahaha... Poke says, "but I was eating it! That's what it's there for right? right? Right." Nom nom nom. Adventures with Cat. lol. Fun times.

OMG i love you guys T.T
Rachel & Jun's Adventures! I like Haku's reaction. It's like he's watching a show.
My cat Jules always finds away to get out like he knows how to open doors
Your cats are so lovely! Haku seems really well behaved and never gets himself in trouble. Do you have any tricks in terms of training them?

He was trying to play it off

If there's an obscure gap that is impossible to get out of, a cat will find it!

But why do they have a 5 inch gap behind their cupboard, that would be my question. Seems like a waste of space. Curious.

Never a dull moment with cats. If they want to do something or get in something, they find a way & make it happen. LOL.
Oh Poki 🙈😂
xD my dog does this too! Normally he's quite smart, but then he feels the need to king of the mountain on top of the couch and TV stand, only to fall behind the furniture. He now has crash padding and an escape route behind these pieces of furniture. Hopefully Poki won't make this a frequent occurrence!

it'sMe TheHerpes I don't know if your kidding or not but I hope you are
I love Poki so much. I love his story. I love how vivacious he is now. He is so grateful to be rescued he is just crazy and into everything. Just think of what would have become of him if you haven't stopped on the road that day. Give him a kiss for me.
Hey Poki's not dumb......................He's pure
The little scared meow at 0:46 is perfect
Oh Poki lol! He sounded so sad lol
Poki: HAAAAAALP!!! SOMEBODY!!!
HAAAAAALLLP!!!
Haku: Dude, I told you not to go back there… But what IS back there?
Never a dull day! :D
Haku:Dude... Dude.. just-just stay cal-
Poki:AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- Oh wait I'M FREEEEEEEEE!
Haku: Let's see what's in ther- WAIT HERE WE GO I'M OUTTA HERE.
Considering that corner's already damaged, you should use double sided tape on the wall and the scratch board.
Oooo, that's a good idea, or small screws to affix the scratch board to the wall. It depends on what the rules are for the apartment they're in. Some don't let you hang/affix anything to the walls at all. :P
Those rules do not apply to double sided tape and hence joegt recommandation.
however.. cats love tape.. odds are that tape would never survive :)
Poki reminds me of someone i know. His personality is adventurous (sometimes to a fault) and he is always playful and loves food. But when it comes down to it he is kind and loving.
Poki's so damn cute. I wish I could cuddle with him.
Jun is so calm about this, or maybe just tired
Have you heard about the news that Texan in Tokyo just made?
Rebecca Lynn Rachel commented on Grace's video :) I'm so sad they're leaving social media and UA-cam! I understand why they're doing it, though, and I wish them luck and happiness with everything!
Yeah, Grace is a good friend of mine! We've talked this sort of subject over many times. :) I think she's doing the right thing for now and I'm really happy for her!
What was the comment? I totally missed it! Honestly, I wasn't trying that hard to look for commenters I know, but I'm still curious.
So we just rig them out by ourselves when the cats stucked again. (Yes, we broke in. Yes, didnt feel guilty at the slightest. We are mad, afterall.)
And I hope Indonesia started to implement earthquake friendly furnitures because we have started to get a series of quakes this past days. (¯―¯٥)
as soon as i started playing the video and your cat started doing that meow, my cat woke up and started meowing while walking around trying to find your cat. i had to stop the video immediately before he became completely confused. lol. headset time.
omg Jun-san You look super tall in this video
Grammy from Kansas
what's an earthquake pad? o.o
To prevent the shelf from moving around during an earthquake, I guess.
Yeah, I've been in many earthquakes, and having to buy new dishes every time there's a big one really sucks. Kitchen-ware moving around less during an earthquake sounds like a good idea to me.
Its more for preventing the cupboard from falling over and squashing someone or a cat.
Meh, in the video they DON'T SEEM VERY EFFECTIVE
I really love your kitties. Your videos make me happy.
Pokiiiiiii! :D
Poor Poki, glad you guys were able to get him out.
HAHA. Haku even tried to help him - what a nice cat!
In my experience, the smart cats also tend to be too curious for their own good! My favorite part was that Haku had to go check everything out behind the cabinet too: "What was he doing back here? There must be something interesting . . ."
I really Love ❤ all of these cats here! Kind of like little kids that need constant supervision!
Adventures with Cat. lol. Fun times.
Rachel: Haku, have you come to help?
Haku: Nah...just...can we leave him back there, please so he won't eat all my food?
Lol Haku, like "Dude, WTF you doing in there?", after he's free "I have to see why you went back there"
An earthquake pad?
Thats..a pretty useful contraption actually..
Poki's thinking as he was leaving...."Phewww 'bout time I thought I was going to starve to death." LOL!
