Rei is happier back in BRATS. I don't blame her for wanting to return to her old band; I *_do_* blame her for how she did it because it hurt Rie. Anyway, Rei's powerful voice will be missed, but I think Nana and Fuka together can almost make up for Rei. More importantly, they're closer to Rie's unusual voice -- Rei's voice deepened a LOT during her 2½ years in Ladybaby (going from 14 to almost 17), to the point she and Rie couldn't mesh live anymore.
+kawaii cake - True. No one but them really knows what happened, but I hope eventually they can and will reconcile even if they never perform together again. Their closeness was the stuff of legends and it ended so abruptly.
Unpopular opinion but I actually like this band more... Before it's just been more of a funny curiosity to me, now it's more legit and has lots more integrity. I can genuinely enjoy it for its music, not a gimmick. It's not to say that Ladybaby ft. Ladybeard had bad songs, it's just that the way I tended to "consume" them has been entirely different

Rei was sick of the Idol life and went to rejoin her old band, which she continued to occasionally perform with even while with Ladybaby. Rei was sick of the Idol life and went to rejoin her old band, which she continued to occasionally perform with even while with Ladybaby. The problem was Rei apparently didn't tell Rie the real reason she left, so you can imagine how devastated Rie was over it all.
