She's white. Her mother is 100% Caucasian and her father is Ecuadorian, which contains heavy European ie Caucasian ancestry. She may have a little bit of Native blood in her, but she is essentially white. I don't know why so many of her Latin fans constantly try denying it.

Doesn't mean they have to IDENTIFY as White/European b/c of it, but they still have it somewhere in their genes. May be an infinitesimally small amount, but it's still there.

Once again, in this day and age it is EXTREMELY rare to be "pure" anything, as a little something called "tourism" has been occurring for centuries upon centuries upon CENTURIES now. Even Europeans that identify as, for example, "100% Italian," simply are NOT. They likely have traces of different types of European, African, and yes, perhaps even Arab! This seems very difficult for you to grasp, but just think about it. THAT is the reason why everyone looks different even if they belong to the same GENERAL ethic group. Because they are still not 100% ethnically THE SAME, and the genes are not evenly distributed throughout the entire family line! Your thinking in regards to this is extremely black and white.

Why doesn't Christina Aguilera get the credit she deserves? She's one of the best, if not the best! Yet, she doesn't get the recognition like other African American singers. It's not right and it's not fair. I'm so glad that Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, etc. only liked and praised her version of their songs. It doesn't get better than that. We know that a lot of our top female vocalist have sang their songs and they sure didn't like them. I'm not the one saying this. I'm just repeating what THEY said!
