Always a marvelous listen. I get to learn about history, Church history and societies attitudes from both centuries past and current times. Enlightening. Great job gentlemen!
Not sure where you're getting the idea that the Cathar consolamentum involved smothering the new Perfect to death. I'm no Cathar symphathizer, by any means, but that is not correct.
I love to listen to these talks. I like rock music, I can't understand the lyrics so they're lost on me- but I like the guitar. But then, I'm a heretic... The guys on Vatican Catholic said so because I have music they don't approve of on my youtube channel (I didn't even know I had one). Of course they don't approve of anything except themselves- and money, they like money!
Rock music is problematic. It is often very anti Christian and the beat tends to appeal to our lower emotions. Nothing wrong with a good glass of wine or a nice cigar though.
damn.. shame that this lasted only an hour. Great content indeed. Thank You very much, God Bless!

Come on Charles St, Genevieve already had a hospital in 1100 AD. That was the medical school of the University of Paris.
This appears to be only one half of the talk. Was there a part 2?
This was a short session, with the second half being purely questions and answers with a lot of superfluous conversation.
