This is my favourite song ever...I still have my old cherished and knackered cassette recording of this song from the Peel Session aired 23rd April 1990... I've often wondered why it was never released. I'm sure the band knew it was beautiful but I think they gave it as a gift to John Peel for all he had done for them and Sarah Records.
best pop song never find it's way to be released.one of the many brilliant songs field mice keep them as real secrets in demo tapes only for close friends and fans around the universe pure beauty
Here's the lyrics...I think. Some lines are tough to make out, but this is what I think the words are. Please leave me alone, leave me on my own, but don't leave me. I am in no mood, I'm in no mood for company. I want to be on my own, I want to see you. This, it's off and on, (? Not sure) feel that I want to, Anoint me (or thee? I'm not sure on this line either) Days, these days are feelin' the way I'm feelin' frequently. I want to be on my own. I want to see you.
If there's a chance of getting a full collection of these demos and unreleased material. Guys i'll buy a Ticket from Russia to anywhere just to meet up with you. I mean. I can pay if you'd like, not a problem! Money for a pure beauty? seems like a bargain to me!
@nicck hi there best for the upload of anoint better though not released as trembling blue stars cause it defines the brilliance of their songs under the fieldmice monicer we love so thanks anyway regards from in those days fanzine xxx
bit like a less complex Draize Train. hadnt heard this one - definitely has that quintessential hypnotic edge that the Field Mice were so good at. thanks for the upload. I first heard Sensitive on John Peel I think - to think this group would be even less well known if he hadn't championed them.
Saw them play in Oxford. I screamed for Sensitive about fifty times until they finally gave in and played it. Fabulous band.
The Mice are friends for life. Everytime I need to go back to the truth, identity, integrity, they're here for me. Sensitive...

Guitar work at the beginning of the song is incredible
I have a cassette too! I remember writing to them and asking if they would release it!

This song is ridiculously beautiful. I heard it on Radio 6 and this is the only place where it seems to exist. Wish they'd released it.
Amazing never heard this before, its fantastic! This band shoulda been huge

I hear 'I want to see no-one' rather than you...
"I want to be on my own, I want to see it through" I think is the line
Thanks for posting.
