Thank you for your thoughtful comment! The commutative property is typically used for addition and multiplication, but it is possible to use it for subtraction and division. In the given example, the answer is the same because we are subtracting the same number from both sides of the equation, so the difference between the two numbers remains unchanged.
Sir i have a doubt that natural number also comes in rational numbers and in closure property you have put a cross in subtraction so shouldn't there be a cross at rational numbers too?
Thank you for your comment! You are correct that natural numbers are a subset of rational numbers. The reason we put a cross through subtraction for rational numbers is because the subtraction of two rational numbers does not always result in a rational number. For example, if you subtract a natural number from a rational number, the result is not always a rational number.

Hello sir I have a doubt : By what number should the sum of 18/5 and -7/15 be divided to get 47/6
Tamanna Golani
:]
Here is the required ans for your question -
1st lets do the lcm of 18/5 & -7/15
= lcm =15
So 18/5=54/15 and -7/15=-7/15
=54/15+(-7/15)=47/15
Now,
: let the number which should be divided be X
: let the eq. Be
47/15÷x=47/6
47/15=47/6×X
X= 47/15×6/47
X= 2/5
(The ans is 2/5)

In the closure property in rational numbers, division it is written 5/0 but how can we consider it as a rational number ?
No, because division by 0 is not defined
We cannot consider it as rational number because rational numbers can be expressed as p/q where q cannot be 0
But 0 is a rational number because it can be written as 0÷1 so if we divide (5÷1)÷(0÷1) the answer will be undefined
@@professional8644 0 is a rational number but division by 0 results in not defined and moreover division of a rational and irrational number can be rational or irrational
