Meh K Haha, you're the one that have no idea. What do you even think engineers do? Lmao. Any idiot can read and understand plans. That plan, project you're talking about is impossible without engineers in the first place. The whole building would not be a shambles on paper. Engineers are here to stand it up what is drawn on the paper. Do you even know how much we calculate in a single beam? Concrete marks, temperature, rebar area, static loads, cracks, deformations, etc. Personally never seen architects worrying about cracks in the concrete structure. Yeah they have the basic knowledge like standards and codes. But never seen they worrying about the rebar area in single beam.
On 9/11 The south tower swayed 6-8 feet on impact, preventing an immediate collapse. The north tower swayed for 10-12 feet also saving the tower from immediate collapse.

THICC raw sauce steel is just flexible like that. The base usually goes dozens of feet in to the ground so it won't ever topple, but such a long building will sway like that all the time. I don't even think this was during the earthquake, I've seen most of the footage from back then.

*im just kidding I hope your okay.*
After every clip ended I liked the video.. Again and again.. 😂
I feel like nothing is scarier than falling in the crack of an earthquake.
Finding out your pregnant girlfriend is your long lost sister you never met would be pretty freakin scary.
If you were lucky you could climb out. You'd have the tsunami to worry about though. That's more scary because there's nothing you can do about it.
I guess you never met my mom
@Kameron umm.. life jackets maybe?
@@cyberguroo oh I thought we were being realistic, do you carry a lifejacket when you're walking through town do you? 😋
"Earthquake!".
"No, battle formations!".
dazhibernian fuck yeah captain!
who came here for the cail earthquake 7.1 LMAO
Clapped_pupper Oak lmaoooo me bro
Clapped_pupper Oak nope
We felt that quake in Las Vegas! I didn’t feel it, since I was moving around, but my mom felt it, and a ton of people I know on Instagram (who are in vegas) also felt it! My birds felt it, and went nuts
My cousin lives in Vegas and he almost got hit by a collapsing shelf during the earthquake
I_Said_ OU812 I think they mean Cali as in California
I think ground is more thirsty than hungry.. 😂 😂 😂
@ 2:12
Siddharth Singh Either its water broke or its horny.
Damn dude you know how scary it would be if someone didn’t know that the buildings are built to withstand an earthquake
yes those building are designed to sway like that so that they are not going to get knock down by the earthquake
I would still be terrified. 😱
Exactly. It is one thing for the brain to know, and something altogether different for the body to believe. I have been in situations in which my body was convinced my brain was trying to kill it.
Tilted Towers
Pikinachu smfh lol
Pikinachu your playing fortnite
Tilting
Fock off with fortnite
DAYUM
Everyone who is in California please prepare because the big one is coming make a emergency backpack kit and a safety plan with your family. Be safe and God bless all of you.
That was a reality check for me. I'm already preparing 😞
Compassionate Vegan ignorance isn’t good at all. even if it doesn’t happen you still need to be prepared, the big one is said to be extremely dangerous. 125x more extreme than the 7.1 that was felt the other day.
*prepare.*
@Compassionate Vegan it does not matter to me if I do or don't know when it's coming what matters to me is that the earthquake made me reflect and prepare in no moment I said that I knew if it was or wasn't in a certain day
@@fflowergrl lmao theres a 11 percent chance there will be another earthquake.. May i ask where u got the 125x bigger then the recent one.. ?? A legitimate source would be nice because tbh i think your remedial and just spewing out absolute nonsense
Compassionate Vegan I’m not.. people should be more aware because if one does come isn’t that gonna be crazy bad? And if you haven’t prepared?? I don’t wanna scare anybody I just don’t want anybody to get hurt. Also could you swear less please....?
*_Modern buildings like these that are built in earthquake prone zones are designed to have a swaying leverage to counter the tremors of the quake._*
3:45 that lady jumped on the safe side lol
Kudos to the architects
Isaac agada more like engineers
Uh, Sorry? What do you mean kudos to the architects?
These only happen to be possible because of the absolute calculation of engineers to an architect design though. 💁
Architects are engineers that can't do maths. So they draw things. The real engineers calculate the whole thing. But architects gets the credit.
Meh K
Oh. i have an idea or two. Do you more shocked that we calculate the whole thing or architects don't calculate the whole thing.
Meh K
Haha, you're the one that have no idea.
On 9/11
The south tower swayed 6-8 feet on impact, preventing an immediate collapse.
The north tower swayed for 10-12 feet also saving the tower from immediate collapse.

@@fluffheadfiend thanks for ur compliment dear. Love u all.
Who the hell is recording this because earthquake is really dangerous
The same kind of people that go near hurricanes to film them
Well, he's recording it because it's interesting, and he's not being affected by the earthquake as bad because he's in a taller building. Taller buildings sway to stop the lateral and vertical waves on the ground from breaking stuff inside the building. He probably can't feel a thing.
what else where they going to do run away from it... good one i mean i would rec it considering you could keep it forever and either way your going to have to go through the earthquake too why not the video could be used for so much more than you just looking at it
Must be Peter Parker
well he lives in japan so earthquakes are normal lol he probably never saw a building move like this though
Here are powerful forces in mother earth
That's why Indians always trust Japanese engineers than other country's. And Bullet Train is coming to India from Japan.
And yall will sit on the roof of those bullet trains again r8? Poor japan bullet trains lmfao
@@aditpratama1514 😂😂😂😂😂 you predict the future well

@@ccassette Much more common than that.
i couldnt stand having allot of earthquakes i have never experienced one but i sure dont want to
Imagine being in a building during that and it starts swaying at unusual high speeds.
@Richard Head Yeah I definitely would. I don't like heights.

omreally this is god
Omg ive never seen a building moving because of the earthquake that's crazy!!
It's supposed to sway like that so it wouldnt break, right?
Just go with the flow lol.
cloveraby yea something like that.
cloveraby 0,35% of building longitude its normal and without damage for reinforced concrete and steel walls.
cloveraby im pretty sure there is some sort of spring in the base
THICC raw sauce steel is just flexible like that. The base usually goes dozens of feet in to the ground so it won't ever topple, but such a long building will sway like that all the time. I don't even think this was during the earthquake, I've seen most of the footage from back then.
really dont think it works like that lmao
Building: not falling
Earthquake: am i a joke to you?
Buildings are designed to sway, not fall.
Oh wow
9.1 earthquake? That's strong.
Atleast the building did not collapsed

it's a tragedy that people have no idea how devastating the earthquake was and the effect to their lives then and future God bless Japan
Let's all agree we came from the California earthquakes from July 4-5, 6.1 and 7.1
My girlfriend and I are in Vegas. We are 25th floor. We were swaying pretty bad and the ground shifted and damaged some walls as well. It was some real shit.
André Ryan shit same that’s why I’m watching. I’m dead scared that another one will happen and probably stronger. Most of these buildings are old and aren’t up to date to the new building code that was implemented in 2000
7.1
Just hit indonesia
