run computer mangement as admin if that doesent work re insert the drive and restart your computer if that doesent work your windows 32 files may be corrupted which leads to a blue screen of death or saying please repair your pc.

Man when I right click on removable disk in disk management I don't have a option like new volume. It only shows "change letter,path" and preoperties option?

So this happened: I used etcher and installed a Linux distro onto my thumb drive. Etcher automatically partitioned it into 2 parts and then I was denied access to the non-UEFI partition. So I just used cmd's "clean" function followed by "convert MBR". The previous time I did the same thing Windows asked me to format it and windows formatted it. but this time it showed the exact same error. After following the steps in this video I was stuck again as this time it said: "unsupported file system" which isn't true because I had already used "convert MBR" previously. Any thoughts on this?
Okay, I fixed it. My bad man, I forgot "create partition primary". Leaving this comment, as might help someone else who is just as stupid (considering that this actually awesome video has 32 dislikes). XD
also, I think that the same can be achieved through cmd directly making the process easier.

Yeah hai, I saw this video and I had same problem but when I finish doing all the steps and I press "finish" it than pops up something and it says "the device is not ready" and it wont reslove the issuse or format it. Shall i throw it away??
2:20 i do see the disk but theres no black outline like that and cant press anything to it please help me
when I try and format it says "there is no disk in drive z, insert a disk, and try again"
also, when im on computer management, i left click the thing, then right click, but when i do it just pops up a
change letter, a eject, a properties, and a help. thats all
also also, in the computer management, below removable, it says no media.
this is somehting that I still have not had time to look into but I will in the furture, not sure why there are so many issues with it. I gotta look into this

Do not format at first, Follow the same process from where you go to manage reallocate another letter to your USB drive once is done unplug your flash and plug it back you have your files back I just tried that and it worked for me.
I can't do anything. I don't get any options to use, only greyed out options or error messages pop up. Got any tips/ a hard reset?
For example: when i pres right mouse button for format, I don't get a new bar with options, just an error message with ''there is no disk in drive E''
when going via the 'computer management' I do see 3 weird disks (which are inside the USB) but all options are greyed out and the only option available is '' Help''

hey bro idk if you will be able to answer in time i might figure it out by then but when i attempt to make a partition for it instead of assiging a file system to it it just says Error specified file not found and leaves it as RAW

Watched this video, but when I get to the 'Format' part and yours says 'Unknown capacity' on mine i get the error message 'Theres no disk in drive U:. and asked to insert disk. Is my USB stick dead?
It's possible but usually the last forever and it could be another issue with yours, there are several issues sometimes with these, try going into the computer management and see if it at least shows up in there. or you can try one of my other videos to fully clean it and then try and intialize it, I know that sounds crazy but that might be your issue so here is the link to my other video - ua-cam.com/video/bHqFaJfpviI/v-deo.html
I was cleaning it after formatting using CC cleaner and my laptop Blue screened about 3\4 of the way through and when I restarted the laptop the USB drive was gone totally

@@jamiewagner adding on, I do know the exact reason why this happened. I was trying to install a game, come 9 hours later of me installing it I had to shut the computer down. The game wouldn’t stop installing so I just forced it off

I got exactly the same problem with a 2TB HDD (brand new).
Yeah it’s because it’s a 2 TB drive it probably needs formatted for GPT partition but it’s a common issues so not a big deal you should be able to get it sorted out

me too, i tried this with my 120GB Hard drive and it worked. but when i tried it with my USB Flash Drive, the unallocated box didn't appear. it seems like the usb is corrupted, sadly i don't think that it can be fixed. so I lost my Usb Flash drive. I know what you are going through and sadly we can't fix this problem.

My sdcard doesnt even allow me to create a volume. It doesent give an error, but after creating it, it doesent show up. I tried it in linux, but there it just errors out. I think my sd card might be very dead.
Yeah sounds like you should probably buy a new SD card just to be on the safe side

This video was really easy to follow. However, I do have files on my harddrive I don't want deleted, so my problem persists, sadly. I can't seem to find anything that helps me accessing my harddrive. Here's me hoping you'll consider doing a video for this very same problem, but without the format-solution ;).

You should test your hard drive and make sure it’s okay. It could be different issues do you know what kind of hard drive do you have?

Hey bro im having problems. I tried all your steps but on the Disk Management the The flash Disk is showing but does not have any Unallocated or Primary partition colour. It is just written as No Media
try right clicking on it, my video may not fix everyone's issue because several issues can exist here and you might have to try other methods

When I plug in the flash drive it spams windows constantly saying directory name is invalid, and this spamming clicks off of any window im in. When I finally get to disk manager the flash drive has its F letter but no black bar like in the video has, just a bunch of nothing but its 32GB, help? My computer rebooted during a defrag of the flashdrive, is it toast?
