Dur-as! An Ilocano term for Rise up is perfect word for this town as they continue to grow economically, spiritually and in any aspects of life. From a hunting jungle, to barrio of Pamplona until it was declared a municipality is a symbol that this united community is rising up above the storm of the past and building a future for their next generation.

This is a nice video of showing the tourism side of Sanchez Mira. I see you having fun and enjoying its beauty probably unaware of the reasons why Cagayan is ravaged during typhoons. What you failed to show here is the ugly side of what your neighboring country is doing to destroy this beautiful place, black sand mining. What are the people especially officials doing to protect this place that could provide income to locals through tourism?
